Artificer

Makers of magic-infused objects, artificers are defined by their inventive nature. They see magic as a complex system waiting to be decoded and controlled through a combination of thorough study and investigation. Spells are often too ephemeral and temporary for their tastes. Instead, they seek to craft durable, useful items.

Craftsman

When you adopt this tradition at 2nd level, you gain proficiency in three artisan tools of your choice.

Wondrous Invention

Starting at 2nd level, you are capable of creating diverse and useful magical items. During the course of a long rest, you can craft a single item from the following list: bead of nourishment, bead of refreshment, enduring spellbook, orb of time, potion of climbing, potion of healing, rope of mending, or an unbreakable arrow.

To craft this item, you must work without interruptions during a long rest, and spend 50 gp of raw materials. Crafting a magical item this way counts as light activity for you, and does not disturb your long rest. You finish constructing the item when you finish your long rest.

Marvelous Invention

Beginning at 6th level, you can create any common item from the "Minor Items, Common" table with your Wondrous Invention feature, following the same rules as those listed previously.

 

Additionally, you can craft up to two common items during the course of a long rest, rather than one. Furthermore, you can spend a short rest crafting a single common item. You finish constructing the item when you finish your short rest.

Superior Attunement

Also at 6th level, your superior understanding of magic items allows you to master their use. You can now attune to up to four, rather than three, magic items at a time. At 14th level, this limit increases to five magic items.

Spectacular Invention

Starting at 10th level, you can create any uncommon item from the "Minor Items, Uncommon" table with your Wondrous Invention feature, following the same rules as those listed previously, except that crafting an uncommon item costs 200 gp, rather than 50 gp.

Additionally, crafting an uncommon item with this feature takes 8 hours of uninterrupted work.

Master Craftsman

At 14th level, your crafting capabilities allow you to craft magical items with ease. Whenever you create a magical item with your Wondrous Invention feature, you can instantaneously create a duplicate of that item at no additional cost. Once you do so, you can not do so again until 7 days have passed.
