The Amalgolem

The amalgolem was a collection of golems created to be adaptable as servants and protectors. They are lots of small golems that can form a larger golem by locking themselves together. These golems are often used in small locations to act as helpers as small individuals and guardians as a collective.

Actions

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) bludgeoning damage.

Reform. If there are three or more amalgolems within 5 ft. of each other, they can link together as an action to become one amalgolem collective.


Amalgolem Collective

Structure. The collective is made of a minimum of three golems. If the collective falls below 26 hit points, then the it immediately separates into two golems.

Shared Health. When tracking the amalgolem collective's hit points, treat all amalgolems to have a shared pool of hit points and everytime 13 hit points is lost from the pool, an amalgolem dies.

Actions

Multiattack. The amalgolem collective makes two slam attacks.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage.

Explode. As an action, the amalgolem collective spins rapidly to fire the individual amalgolems at all enemies around it. Each creature within 30 ft. of the collective, up to the number of amalgolems the make up the collective, must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, they take 7 (2d6) bludgeoning damage. This causes the collective to split into its comprising individual amalgolems, which land in front of a creature they hit or 30 ft. away from the point the attack came from.
