Snow Elves
The Snow Elves come from Elfenheim, a larger island that is off of the northeast coast of the northern continent. The island is always cold, and teems with wildlife adapted to the harsh weather. Elfenheim is the only real settlement, and during the warmer months the Snow Elves hunt and camp out on the tundra, and trade animal hides and art pieces (commonly carved from bone and antlers) as well as the rare items made from the elusive never-melting black ice for what they need to survive the freezing winter months. All Snow Elves are trained to hunt, and many of them take up a craft to keep themselves busy in the winter.
Snow Elves' skin is always pale, but can be mostly white or tinted with light blue. Most Snow Elves' hair is white, but can be light blue, light brown, or even black. Their eyes are light blue or grey.

A Desert Elf that concedes to the desert can never be a leader. An elf that completes the pilgrimage is given great respect and a seat on the council. The Desert elves live in sandstone settlements scattered throughout the desert and gather once every ten years for the Wind Whisperer's Festival, to celebrate a desert elf that stopped an immense sandstorm that would have wiped out the Desert Elves. Some say the Wind Whisperer watches over them still, but most will tell you the Wind Whisperer passed on long ago.
