The Great Machine
You have forged a pact with Primus, the One and Prime. You are a harbinger of law and order and seek to enforce the ideals of Mechanus across the multiverse. Warlocks who pledge their fealty to the Great Machine are often callous and ruthlessly efficient, disparaging chaos and lawlessness wherever their travels take them.
Expanded Spell List
The Great Machine lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.
The Great Machine Expanded Spells
| Spell Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 1st | command, magic missile |
| 2nd | calm emotions, hold person |
| 3rd | slow, tiny servant |
| 4th | compulsion, dominate beast |
| 5th | hold monster, wall of force |
Tenets of Absolution
Starting at 1st level, when you choose this pact you gain the following traits:
- Your alignment is lawful neutral. If your alignment deviates from lawfulness, you may not benefit from any class features granted by your patron, at your DM's discretion.
- You have advantage on saving throws made to resist the effects of spells that would otherwise make you act in a manner that is contrary to your nature or your instructions.
- If you die, your body disintegrates into dust, leaving behind any weapons, armor, or equipment that was on your body.
- You have advantage on Intelligence checks made to recall information about laws or written agreements.
- You can speak, read, and write modron.
March of Modrons
Also tarting at 1st level, when you cast a spell of 1st level or higher, a modron is summoned from Mechanus to aid you in battle for a number of rounds equal to your Charisma modifier. Consult the following table to determine the Modrons that arrive to your aid. The creature(s) obey(s) your commands to the letter, and a modron can only obey a number of commands alloted by it's physical form (e.g. a monodrone can only follow 1 command at a time, and a duodrone can follow 2 commands at a time, and so on). The creature(s) goes on your initiative during combat. If a creature is reduced to 0 hit points or your alignment is not lawful, it is sent back to Mechanus. You can dismiss the modron as a bonus action on your turn.
| Spell Slot Level | Modrons summoned |
|---|---|
| 1st | 1 monodrone |
| 2nd | 1 duodrone |
| 3rd | 1 tridrone or 2 monodrones |
| 4th | 1 quadrone or 2 duodrones |
| 5th | 1 pentadrone, 2 tridrones, or 3 monodrones |
Antithesis of Chaos
Starting at 6th level, you can detect whether a creature's alignment is chaotic as a free action. If the target of one of your spells has any chaotic alignment, you can either give your spell attack advantage against that creature, or impose disadvantage against the creature's saving throw to resist the effects of your spell. You must finish a short or long rest before you can use this feature again.
Modron's Resilience
Starting at 10th level, your blood is enchanted oil from the gears of Mechanus, and your skin becomes bronzed and metallic during combat. Your AC cannot be less than 15. Futhermore, you have advantage on death saving throws.
Eyes of the Prime
Starting at 14th level, you gain truesight to a distance of 120 feet.
