The Weaveborn
Weaveborn have an innate connection to the weave, the mysterious power that builds the foundation of all forms of magic. Most Weaveborn have experienced the weave, either through studies, by being born on the Astral Plane or through various other circumstances, in its most pure form. Having learned how to twist the weave to their needs, Weaveborn are among the most flexible and adaptable magic users.
Manipulator of the Weave
At 1st level you learn how to manipulate the weave to your advantage.
You can cast a spell of 1st level or higher from the sorcerer spell list, even if it's not one of your known spells. The casting of that spell follows the spellcasting rules as normal and you must still expend a spell slot as usual.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1) and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Bonus Proficiency
Also at 1st level, your understanding of how to manipulate the weave grants you proficiency in one Artisan's Tool of your choice. When you create items using that Artisan's Tool they emit a slight magical but otherwise mundane glimmer. You can also use the tools as a focus for casting spells.
Controller of the Weave
When you reach 6th level you learn how to control the Weave in a way that has longer lasting effects.
Choose one spell from the sorcerer spell list that you do not already know. You learn that spell and it does not count against your spells known. Whenever you finish a long or short rest you can exchange that spell for another spell from the sorcerer spell list that you do not already know. A spell you choose must be of a level you can cast, as shown on the Sorcerer table.
Part of the Weave
Starting at 14th level you learn to effortlessly cast spells.
When you cast a spell of 1st level or higher that targets only 1 creature you regain the spell slot you expended for that spell if the target rolls a 1 on the d20 for its saving throw or you roll a 20 on the d20 for your attack roll.
One with the Weave
Beginning at 18th level you gain an unparalleled understanding of the Weave that you can share your connection with others.
You are permanently under the effect of the detect magic spell, its range extends to 120 ft and the effect is no longer blocked by any material except Adamantine.
Additionally, as an action, choose up to 5 creatures other than you within 120ft of you. For each creature expend 1 sorcery point. Each creature gains the benefit of the detect magic spell for the next hour.
