Magic Resistance. Speckle the Speckled Horse has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Helpful. Speckle the Speckled Horse can take the Help action at a range of 10 feet.

Voice of Reason. At least twice a week, Speckle the Speckled Horse gives it's master random advice.

It all Makes Sense Now. Whenever Speckle the Speckled Horse gives it's master advice, roll a d100. On a result of a 1, the advice given by Speckle is something of grand importance, even if it's master doesn't realize it yet.

Actions

Wish. As an action, Speckle the Speckled Horse attempts to use the Wish spell. Whenever Speckle attempts to do this, the DM chooses any ten numbers from 1 to 100, and Speckle rolls 10d100. If Speckle successfully matches all ten numbers, Speckle succeeds in casting Wish.

If even one result is wrong, then Speckle instead summons an ice cream cone to its master's hand.

As an additional action taken by Speckle's Master, the ice cream cone can be eaten or fed to a creature to regain (1d4 + Constitution modifier) hit points.

This ability can be used a number of times equal to Speckle's Master's Charisma modifier (minimum 1). All expended uses are restored upon finishing a long rest.

New Warlock Familiar

Speckle the Speckled Horse is a small creature that looks like a speckled horse, with a series of odd devices tied around its body. The Speckled Horse's speckles are in the shape of various celestial bodies, such as moons and stars, as if they were drawn by children. The odd devices tied around its body grant it the ability to fly, and it seems to posses some innate magical abilities of its own.

Even if the devices tied around Speckle are destroyed, they magically repair themselves instantaneously, ensuring the Speckled Horse always maintains its abilities of flight.

Variant Rules

Wish Variant

If playing with this variant rule, update Speckle's Wish feature to say the following:

As an action, Speckle the Speckled Horse summons an iced cream cone within its master's hand.

As an additional action taken by Speckle's Master, the ice cream cone can be eaten or fed to a creature to regain (1d4 + Constitution modifier) hit points.

This ability can be used a number of times equal to Speckle's Charisma modifier (2). All expended uses are restored upon finishing a short or long rest.

Wish Variant 2

If playing with this variant rule, update Speckle's Wish feature to say the following:

Speckle can attempt to cast Wish, but he will inevitably fail to do so. Instead he summons a single cone of ice cream into it´s master´s hand. He can choose any flavor and topping. The ice cream can be eaten as a bonus action to heal a single hit point. Speckle can cast this spell up to 3 times as an action. After a short or long rest he can use this spell again.

Voice of Reason Variant

If playing with this variant rule, remove Speckle's It all Makes Sense Now feature, and update Voice of Reason to say the following:

Once per day, Speckle gives his master advice. When he does, his master rolls 1d100. On a 1 it was advice of grand importance, even when Speckle´s master hasn´t realized it yet.

Sources of Inspiration

The basic idea behind Speckle the Speckled Horse comes from Pit People, by The Behemoth. It's a brilliant game that I absolutely love, and couldn't help myself when I started making a new warlock character.

Speckle won't fit into every game, and it has a few different abilities compared to other familiars, but the idea behind him was utility over combat potential.
