Aura of Protection
Paladin base class feature at level 6.
Base Effect
Starting at 6th level, whenever you or a friendly creature within 10 feet of you must make a saving throw, the creature gains a bonus to the saving throw equal to your Charisma modifier (with a minimum bonus of +1). You must be conscious to grant this bonus.
Old Upgrade
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Alternative Upgrade 1
At 18th level, choose one type of saving throw. Your aura's bonus to that saving throw is doubled.
Alternative Upgrade 2
At 18th level, you no longer need to be conscious to grant this bonus.
Aura of Courage
Paladin base class feature at level 10.
Base Effect
Starting at 10th level, you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you can’t be Frightened while you are conscious.
Old Upgrade
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Alternative Upgrade 1
At 18th level, you gain a bonus to saving throws against conditions equal to the number of creatures affected by your aura.
Alternative Upgrade 2
At 18th level, you no longer need to be conscious to grant this bonus.
Aura of Devotion
Paladin subclass feature at level 7 for Oath of Devotion.
Base Effect
Starting at 7th level, you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you can’t be Charmed while you are conscious.
Old Upgrade
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Alternative Upgrade 1
At 18th level, you and friendly creatures within the aura deal 1d8 extra damage to fiends and undead.
Alternative Upgrade 2
At 18th level, you no longer need to be conscious to grant this bonus.
Aura of Warding
Paladin subclass feature at level 7 for Oath of the Ancients.
Base Effect
Beginning at 7th level, ancient magic lies so heavily upon you that it forms an eldritch ward. You and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you have resistance to damage from spells.
Old Upgrade
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Alternative Upgrade 1
At 18th level, you and friendly creatures within the aura have resistance to damage from magical weapons.
Alternative Upgrade 2
At 18th level, you can use a reaction to grant yourself and friendly creatures within the aura immunity to damage from spells until the end of the turn. Once you do so, you cannot do so again until you complete a short or long rest.
Aura of Conquest
Paladin subclass feature at level 7 for Oath of Conquest.
Base Effect
Starting at 7th level, you constantly emanate a menacing aura while you're not incapacitated. The aura extends 10 feet from you in every direction, but not through total cover. If a creature is frightened of you, its speed is reduced to 0 while in the aura, and that creature takes psychic damage equal to half your paladin level if it starts its turn there.
Old Upgrade
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Alternative Upgrade 1
At 18th level, this aura pierces total cover.
Alternative Upgrade 2
At 18th level, every time you deal damage to a creature within your aura that is frightened of you, you deal additional psychic damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1).
Aura of the Guardian
Paladin subclass feature at level 7 for Oath of Redemption.
Base Effect
Starting at 7th level, you can shield others from harm at the cost of your own health. When a creature within 10 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to magically take that damage, instead of that creature taking it. This feature doesn't transfer any other effects that might accompany the damage, and this damage can’t be reduced in any way.
Old Upgrade
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Alternative Upgrade 1
At 18th level, the damage you take when you use this aura's reaction can be reduced normally.
Alternative Upgrade 2
At 18th level, the reaction you can use via this aura does transfer other effects that might accompany the damage.
Aura of Hate
Paladin subclass feature at level 7 for Oathbreaker
Base Effect
Starting at 7th level, the paladin, as well any fiends and undead within 10 feet of the paladin, gains a bonus to melee weapon damage rolls equal to the paladin’s Charisma modifier (minimum 1). A creature can benefit from this feature from only one paladin at a time.
Old Upgrade
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Alternative Upgrade 1
At 18th level, the damage bonus applies to all friendly creatures within the aura.
Alternative Upgrade 2
At 18th level, the paladin as well as any fiends and undead within the aura, gain a bonus to attack rolls with melee weapons equal to the paladin’s Charisma modifier (minimum 1).
