# Order of the Psion Blood hunters exist around the world of Ves'Dir, but there is one order that few have ever even heard of. The Order of the Psion was formed thousands of years ago to exterminate a group of people known as mystics. These mystics possessed powers of the mind that the world had only seen from the servants of The Master; horrific ilithids and powerful beholders alike. The Order believed these mystics to be tied to The Master, even if they weren't sure how. This led to the eradication of the mystics, but the Order remained, watching the world and waiting for the return of these freaks of nature. ### The Master's Influence The Master is an entity that exists beyond the comprehension of humanity. It is said that he is the very creator of the universe, and is feared by those that know about his existence, even his followers (especially his followers). Hunters of the Order of the Psion utilize the very power they seek to destroy through the use of psionic abilities seen in the mystics. These disciplines and talents have been passed down from generation to generation for the thousands of years that the Order has been established. ### A Threat Reborn Mystics have been awakening across the planes of the multiverse, so the need for the Order has arrived. Many of them aren't even aware of their abilities, let alone the sheer potential of them. Use these tools to start your quest in the hunt. There is power in numbers, hunter.
> ##### Ves'Dir Quick Fact #1 > The setting of Ves'Dir has many things that make it unique, including more than 5 years of building and the concept behind its creation. It takes inspiration from many different mythologies, including Greek and even those from the works of H.P. Lovecraft. **The Master** refers to a Cthulhu-like entity that *may* or *may not* have put the pieces in motion to begin the creation of the universe. If you would like to learn more about this setting, you can contact me on Twitter (@saint_patty_k) to show general interest. I have plenty of homebrew to bring, and have fleshed out enough of my world to write up a setting guide if people would like. I have put almost all of my free time into building this world and making it a living place for myself and my players. I hope to give all of those interested the same! Oh, and make sure to refer to Unearthed Arcana for the rules regarding the Mystic class.

#### Psionic Talents A psionic talent is a minor psionic effect you have mastered. Starting when you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you know one psionic talent of your choice. You learn one additional talent at 10th level. #### Psionic Disciplines A psionic discipline is a rigid set of mental exercises that allows one of the order to manifest psionic power. At 3rd level, you know one psionic discipline of your choice. This discipline must be of the Order of the Immortal or Order of the Wu Jen Mystic Orders. The Disciplines Known column of the Order of the Psion table shows the total number of disciplines you know at each level; when that number goes up for you, choose a new discipline. The discipline you choose at 7th level can come from any Mystic Order. All of the rules for mystics regarding psionic disciplines, psi limits, and psychic foci apply to you as well. \pagebreak

#### Telepathy Also at 3rd level, your mind awakens to the ability to communite via telepathy. You can telepathically speak to any creature you can see within 120 feet of you in this manner. You don't need to share a language with the creature for it to understand your telepathic messages, but the creature must be able to understand at least one language or be telepathic itself. #### Order Boon At 7th level, your Crimson Rite feature is affected by your psychic focus. Depending on the Order that your psychic focus belongs to, your Crimson Rite gains an additional effect: ***Order of the Avatar.*** If you deal rite damage to a creature, regain hit points equal to half of the damage dealt by your Crimson Rite (minimum 1). ***Order of the Awakened.*** If you deal rite damage to a creature, it has disadvantage on its next saving throw until the end of your next turn. ***Order of the Immortal.*** You can use your reaction to expend a use of your blood maledict feature to increase your AC against a melee attack that hits you before the start of your next turn. The bonus to your AC is equal to your Wisdom modifier. You can only use this feature against a creature if you have dealt rite damage to it that turn. ***Order of the Nomad.*** Once per turn, if you deal rite damage to a creature, you can teleport up to 10 feet away from it. ***Order of the Wu Jen.*** If you deal rite damage to a creature, you have advantage on your next saving throw against a spell that it casts until the start of your next turn. #### Psionic Rite At 11th level, you have learned how to enhance the power of your Crimson Rite with your psychic abilities. When you hit with an attack with your Crimson Rite active, you can spend up to 6 psi points (within your psi limit) to increase the damage of your Crimson Rite by 1 damage die per psi point spent. You can't use this feature again until you finish a long rest. #### Psychic Deflection At 15th level, if you are hit by an attack or spell effect that deals fire, cold, lightning, thunder, psychic, or necrotic damage, you can use your reaction to spend 2 psi points to reduce the damage by 1d10 + your Wisdom modifier + your blood hunter level. If you reduce the damage to 0, then you heal half of that damage. At 18th level, you heal the full amount if you reduce psychic damage to 0. \columnbreak #### Mystic Execution At 18th level, you learn the Rite of the Oracle if you don't already know it. Also, the damage you deal with Rite of the Oracle ignores psychic resistance. Also, when you deal damage to a creature with Rite of the Oracle, all creatures within 5 feet take half the damage dealt to the first target.
