# Songblades of the Lord of Songs
These five strange weapons are half the weight of their normal counterparts. Each of them has a series of grooves and holes set into the length of their blades, causing them to emit perfectly tuned music when swung through the air, each one emits the sound of a different instrument. Swinging at different speeds and angles creates music with different volumes and notes.

If a bard attuned to a bardic songblade performs a feat of bardic mastery (the bard performs a song he could not perform for the longest of time; beaten to a pulp, but through the use of its bardic ability wins the battle; be formidable, or become formidable, in the skill, the blade is name after), the songblade will reveal its true form, along with its name and the unique power of its true form.

Bards skilled enough with these blades were able to compose music only by swinging the blade through the air.

#### Bardic Songblade

*Weapon (battleaxe, rapier, longsword, shortsword, sickle), very rare (requires attunement by a bard)*

You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon. This weapon can also be used as a magical focus for bards. When you land a critical hit with this weapon, you regain a single Bardic Inspiration die.

If a bard attuned to a bardic songblade performs a feat of bardic mastery, the songblade will reveal its true form, along with its name and unique powers.

<h4> Earbender, Blade of Domination</h4>

*Weapon (battleaxe), very rare (requires attunement by a bard)*

You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with Earbender. Earbender can also be used as a magical focus for bards, and when swung the blade emits the sounds of a chartar (or double bass; or of an old timey electric guitar, if you are that METAL). When you land a critical hit with this weapon, you regain a single Bardic Inspiration die.

***True Form.*** In its true form, the name of Earbender will be revealed. In this form Earbender triggers a lust for loud music in its owner. It also grants special powers. As an action on your turn, you may cast either *dominate person* or *dominate monster*. Once you use this ability, you must finish a short or long rest before you can use it again.

<h4> Jokeweaver, Blade of Laughter

*Weapon (longsword), very rare (requires attunement by a bard)*

You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with Jokeweaver. Jokeweaver can also be used as a magical focus for bards, and when swung the blade emits the sounds of a brass trumpet. When you land a critical hit with this weapon, you regain a  single Bardic Inspiration die.

***True Form.*** In its true form, the name of Jokeweaver will be revealed. In this form Jokeweaver causes people you tell jokes to, to laugh at your jokes just a bit to hard. It also  grants you the ability to cast *tasha's hideous laughter* at will.

<h4> Heartcatcher, Blade of Allure</h4>

*Weapon (rapier), very rare (requires attunement by a bard)*

You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with Heartcatcher. Heartcatcher can also be used as a magical focus for bards, and when swung the blade emits the sounds of a harp. When you land a critical hit with this weapon, you regain a  single Bardic Inspiration die.

***True Form.*** In its true form, the name of Heartcatcher will be revealed. In this form Heartcatcher never gets dirty, 	 and grants you the ability to cast *charm person* at will.

<h4> Skillbringer, Blade of Enrichment</h4>

*Weapon (sickle), very rare (requires attunement by a bard)*

You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with Skillbringer. Skillbringer can also be used as a magical focus for bards, and when swung the blade emits the sounds of a metal flute. When you land a critical hit with this weapon, you regain a  single Bardic Inspiration die.

***True Form.*** In its true form, the name of Skillbringer will be revealed. In this form Skillbringer grants you the knowledge to speak, read and write Celestial. It also grants you the ability to cast *enhance ability* at will.

<h4> Willbreaker, Blade of Fear</h4>

*Weapon (shortsword), very rare (requires attunement by a bard)*

You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with Willbreaker. Willbreaker can also be used as a magical focus for bards, and when swung the blade emits the sounds of an organ. When you land a critical hit with this weapon, you regain a  single Bardic Inspiration die.

***True Form.*** In its true form, the name of Willbreaker will be revealed. In this form Willbreaker is unbreakable. It also has 6 charges. You may use these charges to cast any of the following spells: *fear* (1 charge), *phantasmal killer* (4 charges), *weird* (6 charges).

Willbreaker regains 1d4 + 2 charge daily, when you scream in fear, while holding the blade, for at least one hour.
