# Lementian House Rules ### Available Books Most content in a published book for 5e D&D is allowed. Unearthed Arcana content is *allowed with **DM permission*** ask before adding it to your character. All characters must be confirmed by the DM before acceptance into the game. The following house rules are in place for players and are good to keep in mind when making characters. ### Point Buy Lementian games use a 27 point point buy. In addition all races use the Tasha's racial stat adjustments. Instead of traditional racial stats all races get a floating +2 and +1 bonus which cannot be applied to the same stat. ### Level 1 Feat Players gain a feat at level 1. ### Skills You have proficiency in additional *class* skills equal to your intelligence modifier. ie a wizard with an INT of 16 would know 5 wizard proficiencies. If you somehow know more proficiencies than is on your class list you must take all your class ones and whatever points you have left may go to any skill. ### Two-Weapon Fighting When wielding a light weapon in both hands you gain one additional attack at the end of your attack action that is made with the offhand weapon. This attack does not add your enhancement modifier unless you have the two weapon fighting style. A monks bonus unarmed attack (or flurry of blows) counts as this additional attack. Additionally you may draw both weapons at once with a draw weapon action. ### Cure & Detect Poison Cure poison will only work on a target whom you know the poison or disease wracking their body, otherwise it gives a +1 per spell level used to cast the spell on the next save. Similarly detect poison gives a +1 to knowledge rolls to determine the poison or disease affecting the target. ### Rests The party gets 2 'free' short rests per day. This can be used at any time outside of combat & stress (racing a horse across the land does not allow for a short rest for example) Players can take normal short rests (taking up to an hour with no extra activity) as well. ### Healing Potions Healing potions use the following rules by [u/EroxESP](https://www.reddit.com/user/EroxESP "u/EroxESP") [Healing Potions by EroxESP](https://www.reddit.com/r/UnearthedArcana/comments/7hki7c/new_system_of_healing_potions_second_update/ "Healing Potions by EroxESP") \columnbreak ### Variant Encumbrance as of page 176 in the PHB We are using the variant encumbrance as found on page 176 of the Player's Handbook. You should track the required weights of various items in your inventory, including coinage (50 coins/gems = 1 lb) and arrows (20 arrows/bolts = 1 lb). Note that you can use historical weights for some items if theres a significant difference from their D&D variant (I've noticed a lot of flaws in like heavy armor which is heavily overestimated for weight, chainmail weights 22 lbs IRL while it weighs 55 in D&D...) Additionally you backpacks grant you 30 lbs of carry capacity for the 5 lbs they cost (net gain of +25 lbs carry capacity)
