Order of the Flagellant
Some people repent for their sins by inflicting pain upon themselves, but for some people doing just that is not enough. They use the pain to travel the world and help people get rid of any monsters or horrors that might trouble them.
Hardened Flesh
As your flesh has been whipped and wounded countless times and have hardened to be more resilient .
At 3rd level, your hit point maximum increases by 3 and increases by 1 again whenever you gain a level in this class.
Pain is Power
You learn to repent for your sins, and by inflicting pain upon yourself, you stay calm and collected during combat.
At 3rd level on your turn you can use your bonus action to infect yourself with pain. Roll your Rite dice and take that as unavoidable and unreducible damage, you gain an amount of "Pain" equal to the roll as well. Also when you amplify a blood curse, you also gain an amount of "Pain" equal to the damage you take from amplifying. You gain benefits the more pain you have (see table below). You can have a max amount of pain stored at once equal to double your Blood Hunter level. As you store more pain, you also get all previous stages.
You lose all stored "Pain" if 10 minutes go by without you gaining more, or if you spend 1 minute to perform a ritual and strengthen your body, at the end of the ritual you lose all pain and heal an amount of hit points equal to half of the pain lost.
| Pain stored | Benefit |
|---|---|
| 5 | You ignore non-magical difficult terrain, Can dash as bonus action |
| 10 | +1 AC, Advantage on Strength saves and check to avoid being knocked prone or moved |

When an allied creature within 5 feet of you is being hit with an attack, you can use your reaction to force the attack to hit you instead. You have resistance to the damage from the hit and gain an amount of pain equal to the damage you take.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.
Painful strike
At 11th level you have learned to share your pain with other sinner, and those who stand in your way.
When you have at least one "Pain" and you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend all your stored pain and turn that into additional damage on that hit, your pain then goes back to 0.
Suffering Embraced
At 15th level the pain comforts you and you know that it is not your enemy, but a friend.
Whenever you roll your Rite Die to inflict damage upon yourself after using a bonus action to do to as per the use of the "Pain is Power" feature, you now gain twice the amount of pain from the damage you take
Shackles of Pain
Upon reaching 18th level you have learned that your pain is not yours to feel alone and must be shared with others that deserve to feel it.
As an action you can try to mark a creature within 30 feet of you with a blood mark, that creature must succeed on a Constitution Saving Throw or be marked. Whenever you take any kind of damage, the marked creature takes half of that. The mark lasts for 1 minute or if you end it as a bonus action. If the creature ends it's turn more than 30 feet away from you, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on a success.
You can only have one creature marked by this feature at a time.
