# Undeath: Divine Domain Throughout the realms, priests that revere gods of death and suffering sometimes take to the bodies of the deceased as a means to gain great power, for betterment or for ill. They are able to effectively command swathes of undead through their divine connection. Deities and faiths of undeath include Myrkul, Wee Jas, Nerull, Nyx, Chemosh, and the Blood of Vol. ### Undeath Domain Spells | Cleric Level | Spells | |:---:|:-----------:| | 1st| arms of hadar, inflict wounds | | 3rd | blindness/deafness, gentle repose | | 5th | animate dead, life transference | | 7th | blight, shadow of moil | | 9th | danse macabre, negative energy flood | ### Grave Whisperer At 1st level, your dealings with the undead has taught you their languages, as well as use your divine connection to better parlay with them. You learn one language of your choice. In addition, whenever you make a Charisma check when interacting with undead, you can substitute your Charisma modifier for your Wisdom modifier. ### Corpus Fortification Also at 1st level, you are able to fortify your allies, living or not, with a shield of negative energy. As an action, you touch one creature within 5 feet of you. That creature gains a number of temporary hit points equal to your Cleric level + your Wisdom modifier. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. ### Channel Divinity: Command Undead Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to temporarily take control of nearby undead. As an action on your turn, choose a number of undead creatures within 60 feet of you equal to your proficiency bonus. Undead you don't control must make a Wisdom saving throw, and those with a CR higher than your Cleric level have advantage on the saving throw. On a failed save, or if you control them, each undead uses its reaction to move half its speed towards one creature of your choice, and make one melee attack against that creature. If an undead cannot reach its target, it is instead incapacitated for one round, becoming rebuked. On a successful save, nothing occurs. The targeted creature cannot be an undead you command with this channel divinity. \columnbreak ### Master of Puppets Starting at 6th level, undead creatures you create become much more powerful. They gain the following benefits: - The creature adds your Wisdom modifier to its saving throws. - The creature's attacks count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. ### Potent Spellcasting Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip. ### Mortal Conversion At 17th level, you are able to create undead minions from those you snuff the life out of. You learn the spell *finger of death*, it is always prepared for you, and it does not count against your spells prepared. You also gain the ability to create stronger undead with the spell through higher level spell slots. Using an 8th level spell slot, you instead animate the creature as a ***ghoul***. Using a 9th level spell slot, the ghoul you animate adds your Wisdom modifier to its attack and damage rolls.
