## Crimson Moon ### *Weapon (Great Scythe), Legendary (requires attunement by a creature of chaotic alignment)* This obsidian blade was forged in the heart of a volcano, mixed with orichalcum and imbordered with a golden seal along the blades edge. A ruby resembling an eye adorns the blade near the shaft. You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. It has the following additional properties. ***Bloodletting.*** Whenever you hit with a melee attack made by this weapon, the creature must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or they start to bleed heavily from the wound. A bleeding target takes 1d6 x the number of bleeds at the start of their turn. If the bleeding creature is reduced to 0 hit points by the bleed, you heal 2d4 x the number of bleeds that were applied to the target. The creature can attempt to save from each wound at the end of their turn. ***Scent of Blood.*** While you are holding the weapon, you have advantage on survival checks when tracking any creature who has suffered from Bloodletting. *Crimson Moon* also casts Darkvision on its wielder whenever in moonlight. ***Sentience.*** *Crimson Moon* is a sentient chaotic neutral weapon with an Intelligence of 15, a Wisdom of 12, and a Charisma of 19. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 90 feet. The weapon can speak, read, and understand Common and Abyssal, and can communicate with its wielder telepathically. Its voice is smooth and seductive. Crimson Moon also understands every language you know. ***Personality.*** *Crimson Moon* wants nothing more than to be freed from his prison. Containing the soul of a nameless vampire who was imprisoned within the blade, Crimson Moon seeks a wielder who can grant its Wish. The weapon cares little for the affairs of mortals and will urge its wielder to continue striving for new heights regardless of how they are obtained. If Crimson Moon feels that its wielder has gone complacent or has lost their drive, it will grow furious with its wielder and either demand to be released or will attempt to take control of the wielders body casting a 9th level Dominate Person (DC 23).
