# Roguish Archetype: Captain ## Captain ### Your focus has always been on exploration and command of vessels dedicated to it. As a Captain, you command a small but close-knit group dedicated to secure and swift travel, and you focus on the myriad skills necessary to allow you mastery over it. #### Treat Her Like A Lady At 3rd level, you gain access to one high quality vehicle appropriate to your setting. This is most commonly a sailing ship but could also represent a carriage, an airship, or any commonly used apparatus of travel within the campaign. In addition, you gain proficiency in your choice of vehicles (land), vehicles (water), or navigation tools. At any point, you may spend two weeks and 500 gp to replace this vehicle in case of destruction or when you require a new type of vehicle. #### Stern Gaze Starting at 3rd level, you may use a bonus action to give any creature within 30 feet disadvantage on their next attack or skill check. At level 17, they get disadvantage on their next attack, skill check, or saving throw. #### Part of the Ship At 9th level, through a mixture of ingenuity and experience, you may take a full day with your crew to completely repair a vehicle under your command, as long as it is at all functional when you begin your repairs. In addition, you gain expertise in your choice of vehicles (land), vehicles (water), or navigation tools. #### Part of the Crew Starting at 13th level, whenever a creature within 30 feet of you makes a skill check or a saving throw, they can use your modifier instead of their own. #### Greatest I've Ever Seen At 17th level, your vehicle becomes upgraded. Either via modifications to the vessel, bartering, or earning a reward, you gain access to a vehicle that is of the highest possible quality within the setting. Said vehicle is magical in nature and may be operated comfortably with 1/10th the usual required crew for the vehicle, and can repair itself from complete destruction over the course of a single week, or reshape itself to a new type of vehicle.
