Vampiric Blade

1st-level Necromancy

Casting time: 1 action

Range: Touch

Components: V, M (an ounce of blood)

Duration: Concentration, up to one minute

You enchant a slashing or piercing weapon with necromantic energy, drawing the blood out of wounds it creates and restoring vitality to its wielder. For one minute, whenever you make a successful attack with the enchanted weapon, the target must make a constitution saving throw. The target takes an additional 1d8 necrotic damage from the attack on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful save. You regain hit points equal to half the damage dealt in this way.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage of this spell increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 1st.

Exsanguinate

2nd-level Necromancy

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: 60ft

Components: V, S (an ounce of blood)

Duration: Concentration, up to one minute

You curse the blood of a target within 60ft of you, priming it to flow uncontrollably. When you cast this spell, the target must make a constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target is cursed for 1 minute. When dealt piercing or slashing damage, a creature cursed in this way takes an additional 1d4 necrotic damage as their wounds gush blood. Additionally, you may use your action to end the spell early, dealing 1d4 necrotic damage for each source of piercing or slashing damage dealt to the cursed creature while the spell has been active, and regaining hit points equal to half the total damage dealt in this way. Ending the spell by casting another concentration spell does not activate the secondary effect.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage inflicted on a successful attack increases by 1d4 for each slot level above 1st.
