## Tieflings To be greeted with stares and whispers, to suffer violence and insult on the street, to see mistrust and fear in every eye: this is the lot of the tieflings. And to twist the knife, tieflings know that this is because a pact struck generations ago infused the essence of the demon lords into their bloodline. Their appearance and their nature are not their fault but the result of an ancient sin, for which they and their children and their children's children will always be held accountable. ***Ability Score Improvement.*** Your Charisma score increases by 2. ***Age.*** Tieflings mature at the same rate as humans but live a few years longer. ***Size.*** Your size is medium. ***Speed.*** Your have a base walking speed of 30 feet. ***Darkvision.*** Thanks to your abyssal heritage, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray. ***Languages.*** You can speak, read and write Common and Infernal. ***Subrace.*** There are several tiefling subraces. Choose one of them for your character. #### Asmodeus Asmodeus is the Demon Lord of Fire and Darkness. Tieflings of this legacy have large horns, thick tails and canine teeth. ***Ability Score Improvement.*** Your Intelligence score increases by 1. ***Infernal Resistance.*** You are resistant to fire damage. ***Legacy of Flames.*** You know the *thaumaturgy* cantrip. Once you reach 3rd level, you can cast the *hellish rebuke* spell as a 2nd-level spell; you must finish a long rest in order to cast the spell again using this trait. Once you reach 5th level, you can also cast the *darkness* spell; you must finish a long rest in order to cast the spell again using this trait. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells. #### Baphomet Baphomet is the Horned King and the Prince of Beasts. He is worshipped by minotaurs and others with savage hearts. Tieflings of this legacy have bloodshot eyes and coarse, thickening hair, as well as large bullish horns. ***Ability Score Improvement.*** Your Strength score increases by 1. ***Labyrinthine Recall.*** You can perfectly recall any path you have travelled. ***Abyssal Resistance.*** You are resistant to lightning damage. ***Legacy of Savagery.*** You know the *primal savagery* cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the *thunderous smite* spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the *beast sense* spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells. \columnbreak #### Demogorgon The Demogorgon is the Master of the Spiraling Depths, and the embodiment of chaos, madness and detruction. Tieflings of this heritage or invariably mad, and can have any number of bestial appearances; claws, apelike torso's, tentactle-like buds on their hands and even having two heads are within the realm of possibility. ***Ability Score Improvement.*** Your Strength score increases by 1. ***Two Minds of Madness.*** You have advantage on Charisma and Intelligence saving throws, as well as saving throws against being stunned. ***Legacy of Chaos.*** You know the *friends* cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the *cause* spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the *enlarge/reduce* spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells. #### Fraz-Urb'luu Fraz-Urb'luu is the Demon Lord of Deception and Illusions. Tieflings of this legacy have exceptionally long, pointy ears, pointed noses and narrow eyes, but could be mistaken for a misshapen elf. ***Ability Score Improvement.*** Your Wisdom score increases by 1. ***Liar's Eye.*** You have proficiency with the Deception and Insight skills. ***Legacy of Deceit.*** You know the *minor illusion* cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the *disguise self* spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the *blur* spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells. #### Graz'zt Fluff ***Ability Score Improvement.*** Your Constitution score increases by 1. ***Joy from Pain*** Whenever you suffer a critical hit, you can make an attack or cast a cantrip as a reaction. ***Legacy of Pleasure.*** You know the *minor illusion* cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the *false life* spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the *blindness/deafness* spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells. \pagebreak #### Juiblex Called the Faceless Lord and the Oozing Hunger, Juiblex is the demon lord of slime and ooze. Tieflings of this heritage have slimy, gelatinous skin. ***Ability Score Improvement.*** Your Constitution score increases by 1. ***Liquid Movement*** As an action, you can turn your body to slime and move up to 20 feet through spaces no more than an inch in diameter. You must end this movement in a space that can acommodate your full size, otherwise you take 5 force damage and return to the space where you began your movement. You can't use this feature again until you finish a short or long rest. ***Legacy of Pleasure.*** You know the *acid splash* cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the *grease* spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the *web* spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells. #### Orcus Orcus is the Demon Lord of Undeath. Tieflings of this legacy have pale and withered skin. ***Ability Score Improvement.*** Your Intelligence score increases by 1. ***Undying Resistance.*** You are resistant to necrotic damage. ***Legacy of Unlife.*** You know the *chill touch* cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the *false life* spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the *ray of enfeeblement* spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells. #### Yeenoghu Yeenoghu is the Demon Lord of Hunger. Tieflings are somewhat like gnolls; always hungry, canine teeth, doglike noses and large, round ears. ***Ability Score Improvement.*** Your Dexterity score increases by 1. ***Rampage.*** When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can move up to your speed as a bonus action without provoking opportunity attacks. You can't use this feature again until you finish a short or long rest. ***Legacy of Hunger.*** You know the *primal savagery* cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the *tasha's hideous laughter* spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the *crown of madness* spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
