The Forgotten

You have made a pact with a powerful being that few alive still know of. Such a being may wish to bring itself back into recognition, or in some cases have its memory entirely wiped from existence. The names of these creatures are unknown to most: perhaps a god from a nearly extinct civilization, or a creature from folk legend that has faded to obscurity. Regardless of the creature's original powers, its pact with you is fueled primarily through its status as a forgotten being.

Expanded Spell List

The Forgotten lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Forgotten Expanded Spells
Spell Level Spells
1st detect good and evil, sleep
2nd alter self, nystul's magic aura
3rd feign death, nondetection
4th confusion, greater invisibility
5th mislead, modify memory

Unhappen

Starting at 1st level, your patron bestows upon you the ability to wipe yourself from the recent memory of creatures. As an action, you can cause one creature within 30 feet of you to make a Wisdom saving throw against your warlock spell save DC. On a failed save, that creature's memories of the past 1 minute are altered to remove memories of you, and you become invisible to it until the end of your next turn or until you attack, deal damage, or force someone to make a saving throw.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Rewrite Memories

At 6th level, your patron grants you the power to tinker with your own memories. You can cast modify memory at lowest level targeting yourself without expending a spell slot. When you cast the spell in this way, you do not become incapacitated. You can choose one of your languages, skill proficiencies, tool proficiencies, or spells and exchange them for a different one of the same kind, instead of the spell's normal effects.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Memory Leak

At 10th level, your ability to wipe memories of yourself has improved. When you use your Unhappen feature, you can affect a number of enemies equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one).

Chainfire

Starting at 14th level, you can temporarily erase a creature from existence. As an action, you release a wave of magic that enchants the entire plane. Choose one creature within 60 feet of you. That creature must make a Charisma saving throw against your warlock spell save DC or be banished to a pocket dimension and incapacitated.

If the creature is banished this way, all other creatures on this plane, including you, forget about the existence of the target creature. This effect however does not remove or alter physical evidence that the creature once existed.

After 1 hour, the target creature returns from its banishment and all creatures' memories of the target are returned to normal.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
