## Thaumaturge The Thaumaturge is a living saint capable of creating miracles through the power of his faith. A thaumaturge is identical to a Warlock in most ways. All of his features work the same except as noted here. - A thaumaturge must pick the Celestial as his Patron. - A thaumaturge must pick the Pact of the Book as his Pact Boon (See Below). - A thaumaturge draws his spells from the Cleric spell list rather than the Warlock spell list. - A thaumaturge draws his Invocations from those listed here rather than those normally available to Warlocks. - A thaumaturge can use a holy symbol as a spellcasting focus. Additionally, the Thumaturge has the following thematic differences: - Thaumaturge Pact Magic is called Wonderworking. - Thaumaturge Invocations are called Esoteries. - Thumaturge Mystic Arcanum are called Greater Miracles. - Thumaturge Eldritch Master is called Charismata. ### Pact of the Book You form a special bond with the Holy Book of your Patron. As long as you have your holy book on you, you can use it as a Holy Symbol. Additionally, you can wield the holy book as a weapon, treating it as a light hammer. The holy book counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to non-magical attacks and damage. If you lose your Holy Book, you can perform a 1-hour ceremony to bond with another copy, losing your bond with the previous book. This ceremony can be performed during a short or long rest. ##
Esoteries
If an esotery has prerequisites, you must meet them to learn it. You can learn the esotery at the same time that you meet its prerequisites. ##### Armor of God While not wearing armor or using a shield, your AC equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Charisma modifier. ##### Blessed Radiance *Prerequisite:* Word of Radiance or Sacred Flame cantrip When you cast a cleric cantrip that deals radiant damage, add your Charisma modifier to the damage it deals on a hit. ##### Blessed Scripture *Prerequisite:* 12th level When you hit a creature with your Holy Book, the creature takes extra radiant damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1). ##### Divine Intuition You gain proficiency in the Insight and Persuasion skills. \columnbreak ##### Divine Steed _Prerequisite: 7th level_ You can cast the spell _find greater steed_ once using a thaumaturge spell slot. You can't do so again until you finish a long rest. When you cast the spell this way you must choose a celestial pegasus as your mount. ##### Ease of Faith *Prerequisite:* 7th level You can cast *freedom of movement* once on yourself without expending a spell slot. You regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. ##### Faith Healer You learn the _spare the dying_ cantrip and the cure wounds spell. Additionally, when you cast _spare the dying_ on a creature who has 0 hit points, the target heals 1 hit point and gains temporary hit points equal to your level, which last for 1 minute. ##### Holy Wrath You can cast *divine favor* on yourself at-will, without expending a spell slot. ##### Holy Steed _Prerequisite: 3rd level_ You can cast the spell _find steed_ once using a thaumaturge spell slot. You can't do so again until you finish a long rest. When you cast the spell this way you must choose a celestial warhorse as your mount. ##### Nature’s Pacifism You can cast *animal friendship* at-will, without expending a spell slot. ##### Rebuke _Prerequisite: 5th level_ When you cast a cantrip that requires one or more ranged spell attacks, you can make melee spell attacks instead. ##### Font of Miracles _Prerequisite: 11th level_ You permanently alter your ability to perform miracles. At each level you gain the Greater Miracles class feature, you instead gain a spell slot and a spell known of that level. Unlike your Wondermaking slots, these spell slots are restored after a long rest. You can only use these spell slots while your Holy Book is in your possession. Once you take this esotery, it cannot be replaced when you gain a level in the thaumaturge class. ##### Sacred Word Your Holy Book gains a +1 bonus to its attack and damage rolls and becomes a magical weapon. Additionally, attacks with the Holy Book count as silver. \pagebreakNum ##### Warding Halo _Prerequisite: 10th level_ You can cast the spell _death ward_ on yourself once without expending a spell slot. If the spell is ended by taking damage, you explode in a surge of divine energy; each creature within 5 feet of you takes force damage equal to your thaumaturge level + your Charisma modifier, and must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be shoved 10 feet away from you in a straight line. Once you use this ability to cast this spell, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest. ##### Word of God When you score a critical hit with a cleric cantrip, pick yourself or an ally you can see within 30 feet of you. The chosen creature can immediately expend a Hit Die to regain hit points equal to the roll + the creature's Constitution modifier (minimum of 1 hit point). ##### Witch Sight *Prerequisite:* 15th level You can see the true form of any shapechanger or creature concealed by illusion or transmutation magic while the creature is within 30 feet of you and within line of sight.
