Spider Domain
The patron deity of the drow, Lolth, is a cunning and ruthless spider godddess. Through a brutal philosophy of survival of the strongest, she pits drow society against itself that the smartest and strongest might rise to the top, earning her favor in the process. Lolth rewards those who gain her favor well, but said favor is often fleeting, passed from one pawn to the next as Lolth's schemes advance. Nonetheless, the drow priestesses worship her with the utmost fervor and wield her dark powers to crush any who would oppose the drow or Lolth's will.

Arachnid Affinity
Beginning at 1st level, when you use your Animal Friendship on a variety of spider, the target does not get to make a saving throw if their challenge rating is sufficiently low. The maximum challenge rating increases with your level in accordance with the following table:
| Level | Max. CR |
|---|---|
| 2nd | 1/4 |
| 4th | 1/2 |
| 8th | 1 |
Animal Friendship may be cast as a ritual.
Additionally, if Speak With Animals targets any variety of spider, the intelligence of that spider is set to 3 for the duration. This may not be used to lower the intelligence of the target.
You may only target spiders with Animal Friendship and Speak With Animals.
Bonus Proficiency
Also at 1st level, you gain proficiency with heavy armor.
Channel Divinity: Arachnophobia
Starting at 2nd level, as an action, you present your holy symbol, and each creature of your choice within 30 feet of you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or suffer hallucinations of being covered in a swarm of spiders and be frightened for up to 1 minute as a result. The effect ends early if the target is damaged.
Channel Divinity: Lolth's Bidding
Starting at the 6th level, as an action, you may summon spiders to your location that will obey any orders a spider might be able to carry out, so long as you are not submerged in water, lava, or some other medium intraversable for spiders and are located in a plane where spiders occur. Spiders affected by this ability have their intelligence set to 3, unless it would otherwise be higher.
You may summon any number or varieties or combinations thereof, but their total CR is not to exceed 1/4th of the cleric's level. Spiders with a CR of 0 are treated as having a CR of 1/8 for the purposes of the maximum CR.
Each individual spider will remain at your beck and call until its hitpoints drop to 0 or you dismiss it. Each spider is lost or dismissed individually.
The spiders have their own initiative, but as a group. They obey any verbal commands that you issue to them, no action required. If you don't issue any commands to them, they only defend themselves from hostile creatures.
You may not use this ability again so long as you have even one spider remaining from a previous usage.
Divine Strike
At 8th level, once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 poison damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.
Lolth's Favor
Beginning at 17th level, you may summon one of Lolth's handmaidens, a yochlol, in its spider form. The yochlol has its own initiative and will assist you in combat, following the orders given to it, and will answer questions to the best of its ability if asked or probe the minds of nearby creatures, but will not perform mundane chores or other tasks that it feels are beneath it. If it is not given orders, it will simply defend itself. The yochlol remains for 1 minute or until its hitpoints reach 0, whichever comes first. After using this ability, you may not use it again until you've completed a long rest.
