## Toon ##### "My rule of thumb when working with toons ? The only thing you can rely on is that everything will go wrong." — Eddie The Coward. ### History ___ Toons manifested themselves after a bard named Moke gave life to it's drawings. They became sentient and wreaked havoc in the world, until they started to rally under some sort of "leaders". They now live peacefully along other races. ### Appearance ___ Toons look like drawings but in 3 dimensions. ### Toon Names ___ A toon name often refer to it's favorite routine. **Toon Names:** Bip Bip, Splash, Puff, Cookie, Scare, Drop ### Toon Traits ___ Your toon character has the following racial traits. **Ability Score Increase.** One of your ability score increases by 1. **Age.** Toons age for forever but don't suffer the consequences of old age, they can't die of old age, to die of normal cause, a toon as to either, be willing to die or nobody remembers it. **Alignment.** Toons are forces of chaos, they tend to do what they want without carrying about consequences, however this doesn't mean that some toon work within the boundaries of the law. Toons are usually chaotic neutral. **Size.** Toons are between 3 and 5 feet tall and weigh between 25 and 110 pounds. Your size is Medium. **Speed.** Your base walking speed is 30 feet. **Toon Willpower.** If enough toons believe in something, it becomes real. This allows all toons tools to work, however because of their chaotic nature its rare that a sufficient number of toons believe in the same thing at the same time. A single toon can however summon as an action, a simple non-magical item out of thin air, it can't be longer than 1 foot in any dimension and weight a maximum of 35 lbs., the item isn't worth anything or magical and breaks if it takes or deal damage. A toon can only do so once every hour. **Languages.** You can speak, read, and write Common and Toon. **Subraces.** Many subraces of toons populate the worlds of D&D. Choose one of these subraces. #### Comedian Toons who were born to make others laugh are part of the comedian subrace, they live in big cities and perform in theaters. **Ability Score Increase.** Your Charisma score increases by 1. **Comedy Gold.** You know the *vicious mockery* cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the *tasha's hideous laughter* spell once per day. When you reach 5th level, you can also cast the *skywrite* spell once per day. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells. > ### Comedian Variant > ## Sweet Talker > ##### Toons who work in a more "adult" field are a part of the sweet talker subrace, they work in casinos and cabarets. > ##### Your ability score increase is the same, replace the **Comedy Gold** trait with the following one : > #### **Sweet Talk.** > ##### You have a natural way with words, when you make a roll to intimidate or persuade a creature you gain advantage on it, creatures have disadvantage against you on insight based rolls to see if you are lying. #### Slapstick Toons who excel in physical plays are part of the slapstick subrace, they live in industrial towns, working on construction sites or in factories. **Ability Score Increase.** Your Constitution score increases by 1. **Burlesque Gag.** When you make an attack roll, if you miss you can choose to roll again but with disadvantage. If the attack hits, you can knock the creature prone on a Strength saving throw with a DC equal to your Strength score total. You can only do so once per turn. ## For now I don't have ideas for other subraces.
