Totem of the Capybara
The Path of the Totem Warrior is a spiritual journey, as the barbarian accepts a spirit animal as guide, protector, and inspiration. In battle, your totem spirit fills you with supernatural might, adding magical fuel to your barbarian rage. Some warriors choose powerful and mighty creatures, that acts as guides through the warrior's wordly trials, and let them fuel their fury in battle.
Others instead discover the impossibly peacefulness and calmness of the capybara, a noble semiaquatic rodent, who doesn't hold a grudge with any type of living creature, and can live in peace with all the inhabitants of the swamp. This type of warriors eschew the influence of inferior and more primitive inspirations, instead devoting their will and attention to this peacekeepers of the ponds and marsh of the worlds.
Understanding the capybara's innate aura of peace as a mean of entering in a trance to ease the mind and better focus on combat, the warriors who are intelligent and wise enough to devote their life to follow the way of the capybara see their efforts rewarded with better capabilities to resist the altering of emotions in the middle of the battle, leading to better results, for both the warrior and its allies.
Spirit Seeker
Yours is a path that seeks attunement with the natural world, giving you a kinship with beasts. At 3rd level when you adopt this path, you gain the ability to cast the beast sense and speak with animals spells, but only as rituals, as described in chapter 10, "Spellcasting".
Tranquil Spirit
At 3rd level, when you adopt this path, you choose a totem spirit and gains its features. You must make or acquire a physical totem object─an amulet or similar adornment─that incorporates fur, claws, teeth or bones of a capybara. At your option, you also gain minor physical attributes that are reminiscent of your totem spirit. For example, you can growth a pair of unusually big front teeth, or your body adopts a heavy, barrel-like shape.
Your totem animal might be an animal related to the capybara, though more appropriate to your homeland, but let's be honest. Who doesn't want to have a capybara as their totem animal?
Capybara. While raging, every friendly creature that you can see within 10 feet from you has advantage on saving throws against charm or fear effects. The peace and calm aura of the capybara helps calming emotions around you.
