Sorcerous Origin: Mythic

Mythic

You have a vague connection to the mythical and the legendary, and this is the source of your magic. This connection grants you the favor of several spirits that will aid you in your endeavors. Bonds with these spirits are often forged at a young age, perhaps even before your power was discovered, and often last a lifetime. Your connection also grants you a natural resistance to magical harm.

Mythical Companion

Starting at 1st level, you gain the spell Find Familiar, which counts as a sorcerer spell for you and doesn't count against your number of sorcerer spells known. You can cast this spell without needing material components. Starting at 3rd level, if you spend 1 sorcery point during the casting then the familiar is summoned with an increase to it’s hit point maximum equal to your sorcerer level + your charisma modifier.

Spirit’s Guidance

When you choose this origin at 1st level, you gain proficiency in two of the following skills: survival, nature, medicine, or animal handling.

Magic Ward

At 6th level, you are experienced in warding off magical harm. As a reaction to making a saving throw against a spell or other magical effect, you may spend 1 sorcery point to add 1d6 to the roll. This may be may be done after making the roll, but before knowing the result. If the spell or effect causes damage, reduce the damage by the amount rolled on the die + your sorcerer level. This benefit also extends to your familiar and your steed gained at 14th level.

Mythical Steed

Starting at 14th level, you gain the spell Find Greater Steed, which counts as a sorcerer spell for you and doesn't count against your number of sorcerer spells known. The steed can only be a pegasus, a griffon, or a peryton. if you spend 2 sorcerer points during the casting then the steed is summoned with an increase to it’s hit point maximum equal to your sorcerer level + your charisma modifier.

You cannot be forced off your steed while conscious.

Legendary Shield

At 18th level, you learn the shield spell, which does not count against your spells known, and you gain the ability to cast it at will, without expending a spell slot. When you do so, the effect extends to your familiar and your steed. You may also cast this spell anytime your familiar or steed are targeted by an attack or targeted by magic missile.

Additionally, you may now cast the spell at higher levels. When you do so, the spell expends a spell slot. Increase the AC bonus by +1 if cast at 2nd or 3rd level, by +3 if cast at 4th or 5th level, and by +5 if cast at 6th level or higher.

If you already have the shield spell on your spell list, you may exchange it for a different spell of 1st level upon gaining this feature.
