Bard College
At 3rd level, a bard gains the Bard College feature. The following option is available to a bard, in addition to the options offered in the Players Handbook.
College of Candy
The College of Candy is one that is dedicated to spreading happiness through delicious treats. Each of the candies prepared by the bards of this college have bits of bardic magic infused into them, to make their taste everlasting, and have beneficial arcane side-effects.
College of Candy Features
| Bard Level | Feature |
|---|---|
| 3rd | Sweet Tooth, Sugary Inspiration |
| 6th | Delicious Rest |
| 14th | Endless Candy |
Sweet Tooth
When you join this college, at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in brewer's supplies and cook's utensils, and your proficiency bonus is doubled when you make an ability check using either of these tools. Also, you are immune to the effects of consumed poisons, or from eating too much sugar.
Sugary Inspiration
Starting at 3rd level, you can expend a use of your Bardic Inspiration to quickly create a piece of candy out of magic, and feed it to a willing creature within 5 feet of yourself, as a bonus action. The creature gains the benefits of one type of candy of your choice for the next minute. If a benefit requires a saving throw, it uses your spell save DC.
Chocolate Chunks. You roll the Bardic Inspiration die, and the target gains temporary hit points equal to the number on the die + your Charisma modifier (a minimum of 1).
Dragon Gumdrops. Once during the next minute, the target can use its action to breathe out a 15-foot cone of sugary goodness emanating from itself, forcing all creatures within the cone to make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed saving throw, a creature takes damage equal to your Bardic Inspiration die rolled three times, or half the damage on a success. The target chooses the damage type from any one of the following: acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison.
Exploding Rocks. Once during the next minute, when the creature is attacked, it can use its reaction to spit exploding candy at its attacker. The attacker takes fire damage equal to your Bardic Inspiration die + your Charisma modifier (a minimum of 1).
Pixie Dust. The target's movement speed increases by 10 feet. This increases to 15 feet at 5th level, 20 feet at 10th level, 25 feet at 15th level, and 30 feet at 20th level.
Delicious Rest
Beginning at 6th level, when a creature benefits from your Song of Rest feature, it regains additional hit points equal to two Song of Rest dice, instead of only one.
Endless Candy
At 14th level, seemingly endless streams of sugar dance at your fingertips. Whenever you use your Sugary Inspiration and choose Chocolate Chunks, Dragon Gumdrops, or Exploding Rocks, you can roll a d6 and use it instead of expending a Bardic Inspiration die.
