Elsewhale
"Ah … ! What’s happening? Er, excuse me, who am I? Hello? Why am I here? What’s my purpose in life? What do I mean by who am I?
- The inner thoughts of an Elsewhale
Sky Whale. The elsewhale is a winged whale with the unique talent of appearing randomly wherever it might be needed. Although sometimes it also appears places where it isn't needed and in fact causes more problems than it solves - as expected of a surprising and sudden whale.
The elsewhale is assumed to be distantly related to an aboleth or similar aberration but is a rare case of an aberration that is friendly and helpful to most creatures rather than malicious.
Tremendous Transportation. Elsewhales have been known to scoop up entire crowds of people in their massive maws and teleport them to alternative planes. While this would normally sound terrifying, the elsewhale has a knack for taking people out of dangerous situations and delivering them to relative safety.
As the elsewhale is unable to communicate outside of whalesong, this experience is still often a traumatic one. Some hermits have been known to live inside elsewhales, explaining this process to those the elsewhale swallows.
