## Säurehunde Here's my explanation for each change - I changed the label of "beast" to "monstrosity", this was done mainly because the creature type beast is usually referred animals thats exist in real life while the monstrosity creature type is usually to referred to elemental animals and other "monstrosity"'s'. i.e. look at the Winter Wolf in the monster manual, it's a dire wolf that is labeled as a monstrosity because it has an elemental prowess. - The CR is 2. It's offense CR is 3 and it's defense CR is 1, add them both up and divide the two of them and its a CR of 2. I seriously suggest [this website](https://iadndmn.neocities.org/CRcalc.html "title") for CR calculations. If you need more help I suggest the DMG. - The health is actually 75, the average of 10d10 is 55 and including the CON bonus of 20, it equals 75. - Almost everything needs to be lower cased when it comes to the general stats of a creature. Pretty much everything needs to be lower cased except for it's skills and languages. The perception stays upper-cased because it is a skill. - If this dog is made of acid and it's main attack revolves around acid, it's going to be immune to acid - Any creature that is immune to poison damage is also automatically also immune to the "poisoned" condition - When it comes to languages, creatures that don't speak or talk don't get "none" they just have it as "---". Its a rule of thumb. - The passive abilities of a creature need to be in alphabetical order, Flammible Acid should go first and Pounce last. - There has to be a damage type when it comes to attacks, "physical" damage does not exist in D&D 5e, when it comes to bite attacks, it usually is "piercing" sometimes it is "slashing" if the creature in question has mandibles. - I got rid of an extra hit die from the bite attack as well. For each creature size, it increases it's damage die with melee weapons by one. i.e. medium humanoid with a great sword would do 6 (1d12) slashing damage with a great sword while a large humanoid would do 13 (2d12) slashing damage, while a huge humanoid would do 19 (3d12) slashing damage, etc. Because this acid dog is a Large creature it should just get one additional damage die for melee weapon attacks. - Acid Spit fits best as a spell attack. Ranged attacks don't have "reach" they have "range". They also have a normal range which is the first number before the slash and a long range which is the number after the slash. \columnbreak ___ > ## Säurehund >*Large monstrosity, unaligned* > ___ > - **Armor Class** 13 (natural armor) > - **Hit Points** 75 (10d10 + 20) > - **Speed** 40ft. >___ >|STR|DEX|CON|INT|WIS|CHA| >|:---:|:---:|:---:|:---:|:---:|:---:| >|17 (+3)|15 (+2)|15 (+2)|3 (-4)|12 (+1)|7 (-2)| >___ > - **Damage Vulnerabilities** fire > - **Damage Immunities** acid, poison > - **Condition Immunities.** poisoned > - **Senses** passive Perception 11 > - **Languages** — > - **Challenge** 2 (450 XP) > ___ > **Flammable Acid.** If an attack dealing fire damage critically hits the säurehund, it then ignites the acid inside of the säurehund, causing the säurehund to take 4 (1d8) fire damage at the start of every round. However, the säurehund adds an extra 2 (1d4) fire damage to the damage of every attack it makes. These effects last until the creature dies or 5 rounds have passed. > > **Pack Tactics.** The säurehund has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the säurehund's allies is within 5 ft. of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated. > > **Pounce.** If the säurehund moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a bite attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is knocked prone, the säurehund can make one bite attack against it as a bonus action. > > > ### Actions > ***Bite.*** *Melee Weapon Attack:* +5 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. *Hit:* 12 (2d8 + 3) piercing damage plus 4 (1d8) acid damage. > > ***Acid Spit.*** *Ranged Spell Attack:* +4 to hit, range 20/60 ft., one target, *Hit:* 14 (4d6) acid damage.
