"I think I need to adjust the recipe, this batch is a little... sharp."
- The Muffin Man.
A staple part of a baker's repertoire, the gingerbread man is a beloved classic in the bakery window. Sometimes a skilled baker with a little flair for the magical can enchant their gingerbread men as a wizard does a golem.
This approach has a varied degree of success, often resulting in a delightful and fun loving gingerbread man that will enjoy fun and games with those who purchase it until they decide it is time to eat their treat. Some of the gingerbread men take umbrage to this, however, and these gingerbread men tend to fight back, flee, or pull nasty pranks.
Edible Accessories. Most bakers tend to adorn their gingerbread men with other decorative foodstuffs, such as candy canes. The animated gingerbread men then use these accessories to entertain, twirling their canes like a baton or bouncing around merrily.
The more malicious gingerbread men have been known to sharpen their candy canes into makeshift weapons, often filing the ends into points or hooks as a type of improvised weapon.
Constructed Nature. A gingerbread maan doesn't require air, food, drink, or sleep.
