Battle Dancer

An elegant warrior who pairs martial arts with graceful performance in battle. This is an archetype for Pathfinder's Unchained Monk.

Alignment

Any. This alter's the Monk's Alignment.

Intuitive Grace

A Battle Dancer uses Charisma in place of Wisdom for any Monk class feature or bonus feat. This alters the Monk's AC Bonus, Stunning Fist, and several bonus feats.

Battle Dancing

A Battle Dancer gains Bardic Performance as a Bard of half her Unchained Monk level (minimum 1), but only for Perform (Dance), which she gains as a class skill. Her Bardic Performances must rely on visual and not audible components. This replaces Ki Pool and all Ki Powers.

Unarmed Damage

A Battle Dancer deals unarmed damage as an Unchained Monk 4 levels lower; at levels 1-3 her unarmed strike deals 1d4 damage (1d3 if she is Small, 1d6 if she is Large).

Versatile Performance

At 3rd level a Battle Dancer gains Versatile Performance as a Bard, but only for Perform (Dance). This replaces Fast Movement.

Dancer's Strike

As Ki Strike, but at 10th level, choose one aspect of the Battle Dancer's alignment; her unarmed strikes count as that alignment. (If she is neutral, she may choose any one alignment aspect.) Once this choice is made, it cannot be changed. She may make a Dancer's Strike as long as she has at least one round of Bardic Performance remaining. This alters a Monk's Ki Strike.

Dance of the Vexing Snake

At 4th level, the Battle Dancer keeps her Dexterity modifier to AC and may move at her full speed while using Acrobatics to cross tricky terrain. She may also move at her full speed when using Acrobatics to cross threatened squares without provoking attacks of opportunity. This replaces a Monk's Still Mind.

Dance of the Floating Step

At 4th level the Battle Dancer gains the High Jump ki power, using a round of Bardic Performance in place of a ki point. At 6th level, she gains the Water Sprint ki power, using a round of Bardic Performance in place of a ki point. At 8th level, she gains the Wind Jump ki power, using a round of Bardic Performance in place of a ki point. This replaces Purity of Body.

Dance of the Springing Tiger

At 11th level, by spending 1 round of Bardic Performance as a swift action, the Battle Dancer may gain the pounce monster ability for one round. This replaces the Monk's Tongue of the Sun and Moon.

Dance of the Crushing Python

At 14th level, the Battle Dancer may spend one round of Bardic Performance as a swift action to gain a bonus to grapple checks and grapple damage equal to her Charisma modifier for one round. If she does so, she may also use her Stunning Fist as part of a grapple. This replaces a Monk's Timeless Body.

Dance of the Soaring Eagle

At 17th level the Battle Dancer gains a Fly speed equal to her base land speed with average maneuverability. (If she already has a fly speed, it is increased by 20 feet.) She may stay airborne for a number of rounds equal to her Charisma modifier, at the end of which she falls if she has not landed. If a flying Battle Dancer charges an opponent below her, she gains a +4 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 bonus on damage in place of the normal benefits of charging. This replaces a Monk's Flawless Mind.

Dance of Death's Embrace

At 20th level, a Battle Dancer may spend one round of Bardic Performance as a full round action, selecting a single target within 30 feet and performing an elaborate dance. Until the end of her next turn, any time anyone makes a successful attack against her designated target they deal +2d6 points of damage, and any critical threat made against her designated target is automatically confirmed as a critical hit. This replaces a Monk's Perfect Self.
