Porcupineapple
"These small tropical fruits resemble porcupines,
although they have a sweet yet cloying pineapple taste, lacking in acidity. The porcupine quills protrude through
the fruit's thick skin."
- Garridan Crowley, Master Alchemist.

Quills. When a creature within 5 feet of the porcupineapple hits it with a melee attack, the attacker takes 2 piercing damage. Additionally, when a creature that starts its turn grappling or grappled by the porcupineapple it takes 2 piercing damage.
Actions
Multiattack. The porcupineapple makes two quill attacks.
Quill. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) piercing damage.
Spiked Sphere. The porcupineapple enters a defensive position where it curls up, protecting itself with its quills. While curled up melee attacks made by creatures within 5 feet have disadvantage, any damage dealt by its Quills trait is doubled and its movement becomes 5 feet. The porcupineapple can leave this position as a bonus action.
Forbidden Fruit. Native to tropical regions, the porcupineapple grows on trees. Unlike most plants the porcupineapple isn't weak to fire due to its internal moisture, although when exposed to fire the porcupineapple becomes grilled and delicious.
In some regions the porcupineapple has been hunted to near extinction, or captured and farmed. Civil wars have been fought over whether or not the porcupine should be added to savoury dishes.
Defensive Curl. The porcupineapple curls into a ball to protect itself, allowing its quills to protrude dangerously. This position protects the porcupineapple from natural predators, unfortunately for the porcupineapple natural predators are in abundance due to their edible nature.
The porcupineapple's quills can be launched a surprising distance and they regrow quickly. The quills are the porcupineapple's best defense and best offense, like a natural javelin.
