Half-Dwarf
The children of both dwarves and humans, half-dwarves often find themselves living on the fringes of society, never truly fitting in. But, they boast many desirable qualities from both races. Half-dwarves are sturdy and resilient, but perceptive and creative. Their talents do not go unnoticed in the world.
Powerful Build
Half-dwarves are as tall as humans but as heavy as dwarves. They range from about 5 feet to 6 feet tall, and can weigh 150 to 300 pounds. Half-dwarves are often stubborn and slow to trust strangers, but they are naturally inquisitive and excited to learn new things.
Unsettled and Unbelonging
Half-dwarves born into dwarven society often end up outcasts, either through political force or their own will. Many dwarves see half-dwarves as a liability - short-lived, flighty, and diffident.
Half-dwarves are valued highly in human society, but only for their impressive physical strength and endurance. Many half-dwarves living among humans work as laborers, dockhands, and grunts, performing menial labor that their fortitude lets them excel at.
Because of this dymanic, half-dwarves make natural adventurers. Many half-dwarves feel unwanted or spurned in traditional societies, and prefer travelling the world with a small group of friends.
