# Rok'Shyr Lore
 Based in Aurevious (The Continent) which was a safe heaven for people of all race and class. The Kingdom prospered under the rule of King Osiris, who had abolished slavery across the entire continent. He originally lived up north with his father Durissonlir Whitfoot Osiris II until he decided it was time for him to leave for adventures of his own. He met his wife on one of his many adventures and they eventually settled down in Raakfar. The kingdom flourished and grew in power.   Until the day Raakfar was destroyed. Raiders from the Astral Plane flying on the backs of red dragons descended from a portal high above Raakfar and reduced it to rubble and ruins. The heroes of Raakfar barely escaped the destruction and went on to found a new city. The city of Rok’Shyr.   Everyone mourned the loss of Raakfar, especially when the king announced the death of the queen Freya Bravechild. Now with the help of adventurers both old and new, the citizens of Rok’Shyr hope to build it better than Raakfar ever was.

## Server rules
This section covers the basic information and general rules of
the campaign.

#### ALWAYS Be Respectful
*    We work hard to keep this community fun and free of negativity. Please do your part by respecting others and encouraging them to greatness!
*    Keep in mind we have people of all age ranges from all around the globe, act accordingly.
*    Please stray from real life hot button issues such as politics, religion, sexual orientation, racism, etc. As a rule of thumb, if you have to ask if something is appropriate, it likely isn’t.

#### Chat Etiquette
*    Do not ping roles in the server unless given permission to do so.
*    Please keep discussions in their appropriate channels.
*    Erotic content is not allowed in the servers, please keep things PG-13

#### Server Community Language
*    We currently only provide English speaking servers.

#### Universal Server Rules
*    All Discord ToS Rules apply to our servers.
*    We do not allow or condone the illegal sharing of rulebooks and materials.
*    We are not a p2p (Pay 2 play) However, donations are very appreciated.
*    Dungeon Masters are not to charge players to play.

## Creating a Character
* Use either [DnDBeyond](https://www.dndbeyond.com/ "DnDBeyond") (preferred), [GSheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UFpw6VRemDNAB6rLcv_IO0FYOXyU1mGp1qjeubXuIQw/edit#gid=1750226729 "Gsheet") or [DiceCloud](https://dicecloud.com/ "DiceCloud") for creating a character
* One character per person
* Any Official published material or any of the homebrew listed below.
* Start at level 2, XP BASED leveling, normal encumbrance, fixed hit points.
* Ability scores are calculated by Standard Array = **8,10,12,13,14,15**
* Only starting equipment and background equipment 
* Once your character is finished post JUST the link to your character sheet in the channel #character-roster 
* Staff will review and approve your character 
* Once approved, you will receive the Westmarch PC role!

# Adventuring in Rok'Shyr
## Adventures

Keep in mind that it is the players responsibility to inform the dm of any major changes to a characters mentality or physical well being

1. In order to find an adventure, one must go to the Adventurers-guild channel. There you can obtain an adventure by reacting to the post made by a dungeon master
2. Before the start of the adventure, you may complete your downtime actions in the specified channel. (What a character does when not adventuring)
3. When you show up for your adventure, remember to respect your DM and fellow party members at all times.
4. At the end of your adventure,  type -dmfeedback to provide insight on how the session went. The more feedback we receive, the better games will be for the community.
5. (Optional) You can post a memory journal detailing main points that happened during your adventure. This creates a living document about events surrounding Rok'Shyr and adds to the overall immersion the server provides, doing so can result in inspiration during your next game as long as the DM is informed prior to the game starting.

## Adventure Suggestions
In order suggest an adventure please follow these guidelines listed.
1. Include lore, why the adventure should take place
2. If any other characters are involved other than your own
3. Detail what kind of monsters should reside within this exploration
5. Type -advsuggest in botspam and go click the link to fill out the form

> ##### Guidelines
>These adventures must not interfere with another players character directly, if one dies that is allowed but one cannot specifically want to harm another individual. Please keep in mind that this is a hobby for all involved

#### Downtime Actions
You can use downtime to perform a variety of activities to benefit your character and those around you. In order to perform these downtime activities, you must adhere to the rules that accompany them. Any activity requiring a dice roll must be performed in the presence of a DM.
