Scaled Tieflings
By @homebrewlesbian
Scaled Tieflings are the product of birth between a Dragonborn and Tiefling. They tend to be stouter than the average tiefling, with reptilian eyes and a smattering of scales across their brightly pigmented skin. They possess the following traits:
Ability Score Increase. You can increase your Charisma score by 2 and your Constitution score by 1.
Size. Scaled Tieflings tend to be on the bulky side and can stand at heights up to 7 ft; your size is Medium.
Speed. You have a movement speed of 30 ft.
Age. Scaled Tieflings age at a rate similar to humans but tend to have a shorter lifespan, living into their 70s to 80s.
Alignment. Much like tieflings and dragonborn, Scaled Tieflings tend to follow their values to great length and often have a disrespect for order and systems. They tend towards chaotic alignments and regardless of Evil or Good, are quite difficult to sway from their opinion.
Darkvision. Thanks to your Infernal heritage you have have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Languages. You speak Common, Infernal, and Draconic.
Mixed Lineage. You have draconic ancestry. Choose one type of dragon from the Draconic Ancestry table. You have resistance to the damage type associated with your draconic ancestry. Additionally, you may choose either to use a Breath Weapon or Hellish Rebuke, replacing the damage type with the damage associated with your draconic ancestry. You regain your Breath Weapon or Rebuke after a long rest. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Charisma modifier + your proficiency bonus.
-
Breath Weapon. You can use your action to exhale destructive energy. Your draconic ancestry determines the size, shape, and damage type of the exhalation. When you use your breath weapon, each creature in the area of the exhalation must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your draconic ancestry. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th level, and 5d6 at 16th level.
-
Hellish Rebuke. You cast the spell Hellish Rebuke at 1st level. Your draconic ancestry determines the damage type of the spell, instead of fire damage. The spell level you cast this at increases to 2nd level when you reach 6th level, 3rd at 11th level, and 4th at 16th level.
