Conclave Features

Song of Trees

Starting at 1st level, you learn Song of Trees (Ritual). This replaces Favored Enemy and Greater Favored Enemy in the Ranger Class leveling table. How this ritual is learned is decided by background/story or campaign. Ritual is performed during the new moon on the Prime Material.

By completing this ritual you call forth a dryad or treant of Mielikki, you serve the creature by performing a task, of variable difficulty, for a day. The DM chooses the nature of this task (reward optional at DM discretion).

Patter of Raindrops

Also at 1st level, after you completing the "Song of Trees" Ritual, you learn the Message cantrip.

Darkening Clouds

Starting at 2rd level, you can use Find Familiar as if it were a ranger spell. The default forms of this animal are a Storm Crow or a Squid underwater. Caster can choose to use the standard Find Familiar animal types if desired.

  • The Familiar has the statistics of the chosen form, though it is a fey.
  • Harnessing the moving water around you, this Familiar is able to cast Shield on you 2 times per long rest.
  • Range of Shield becomes 10ft when the Familiar casts in this way.

Drizzle Before the Storm

Starting at 3rd level, your command of primal magic allows you to enhance your attacks with water. Once during each of your turns, you can deal an additional 1d6 piercing damage to one creature you hit with a weapon attack.

  • To be damaged by this ability, targets must be within 60ft of caster.

At 6th level caster may choose to make this Lightning damage after the 1st round.

Forest Guardian Soul

Also at 3rd level and if a Nature's Storm Genasi has traveled to the Prime Material, Mielikki's power manifests and primal Nature will flow into you, granting you the power of the Forest itself.

Ability unlocked after: 3rd level AND visits/have visited the Prime Material

You gain the ability to temporarily grow and take on the appearance of a twisted treelike person, covered with leaves and bark. As a bonus action, you assume this guardian form, which lasts until you end it as a bonus action or until you are incapacitated.

You undergo the following changes while in your guardian form:

• Your size becomes Large, unless you were larger.

• Any speed you have becomes 5 feet, unless the speed was lower.

• Your reach increases by 5 feet.

• You gain a number of temporary hit points at the start of each of your turns. The number equals half your ranger level. When the form ends, you lose any temporary hit points you have from it.

Completing the "Song of Trees" ritual can assist in speeding up the first transformation into this new Guardian form, but is not required.
