## Way of the Dreamwalker You are a Dreamwalker, a spiritual warrior that is a master of thrown weapons and a student of the natural world. You are in tune with the animistic spirits of the land or otherwise connected to a greater spiritual power such as a god. As your expertise grows, you become capable of mentally traveling to the world of spirits, allowing you to gleam insights from their wisdom. ### Bonus Proficiencies Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you have proficiency in Nature and Survival. ### Thrown Weapon Master At 3rd level, you are a master of thrown monk weapons. You may make a ranged attack with any thrown monk weapon as a bonus action, and retrieve it from the ground without using an action. Additionally, when you use Flurry of Blows, you can choose to make additional melee or ranged attacks with any monk weapon, rather than with your unarmed strikes, as a bonus action. Finally, when you score a critical hit using a thrown monk weapon, you gain 1 ki point, up to your ki point maximum. ### Dreamwalking At 6th level, you can, using special herbs and concoctions, induce a state similar to astral projection, in which you can gain insight into your current situation or surroundings. You can, as a ritual requiring 1 hour of concentration, cast _commune_ or _commune with nature_. After using this ability, you cannot use it again until you complete a long rest. ### Ambush Tactics At 11th level, you are skilled in guerilla warfare and taking your enemies by surprise. You may take the Hide action on your turn as a bonus action. Once per round, when you attack a creature that can't see you, you can expend up to 5 ki points to deal an additional 1d6 additional damage for each ki point expended. ### Spirit Warriors By 17th level, you can call upon the spirits for aid in times of great peril. As a reaction expending 2 ki points when you take damage, each hostile creature adjacent to you must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 2d8 piercing and 2d8 slashing damage from spectral weapons, such as a hail of arrows or a vortex of daggers, or half as much damage on a successful save. The damage dealt by these weapons is considered magical damage.
## Dreamwalkers in the world
On Toril, Dreamwalkers are almost exclusively found in Kara-Tur, where the Spirit World of the Celestial Bureaucracy connects with the Material plane, replacing the Astral Plane as a transitive plane. Elven Dreamwalkers in the service of Sehanine Moonbow also exist. These elven monks are dedicated to the exploration of dreams and the act of dreaming, a state which most elves find unsettling. ___ On Golarion, Dreamwalkers are a traveling order dedicated to Desna, the goddess of dreams and travelers. They can be found primarily in Tian-Xia, as most worshipers of Desna lack any sort of monastic tradition. Dreamwalkers of Desna carry starknives as their weapon of choice, and are often found protecting travelers, wandering in search of enlightenment, spreading the teachings of their goddess, or battling creatures of nightmare.
