## Dwome Dwarves and gnomes may seem similar, both being short in stature and residing in underground homes, but they are about as similar as apples and onions. However, unlike apples and onions, there is the rare occasion on which a dwarf and a gnome take a liking to eachother and have a child. This child is known as a dwome. ### Beloved Half-breeds While similar half-breeds are treated with suspicion and hatred, dwomes are, peculiarly, accepted into both gnome and dwarf society. Their proficiency with magic makes them valued mages among dwarves, and their natural hardiness makes them perfect miners and warriors among gnomes. Their desirable traits make them valued members of any community. ### Mixed Nature While dwomes are accepted into society, their dual nature can make them seem inconsistent. At any given time, a dwome might give in to the fearfulness of their gnomish blood, or the bravery of their dwarven blood. They are just as likely to charge into a battle as they are to retreat from one, and this makes them difficult to predict and may make them tedious to those not familiar with them. ### Dwome Names A dwome will often get a normal dwarf or gnome name, depending on the society they are born into. However, sometimes, a dwome is given a mixed name, a hybrid between a dwarven and gnomish name, such as Baergell or Dargnella. These dwomes are also often given the clan names of both of their families, or a combined clan name in a large family of dwomes. ### Driven Thrill-seekers Their dwarven and gnomish traits often combine into a powerful determination, and many of them will at some point dedicate themselves to a particular goal, whether that is finding an ancient relic, keeping their family safe or whatever else, that goal might result in any given dwome taking to the adventuring life. As adventurers, dwomes are enthusiastic and full of determination, although in some cases, their gnomish blood overtakes them, and they can be meek and awkward under pressure. ### Dwome traits Your dwome character has certain characteristics inherited from their dwarf and gnome parents. ***Ability Score Increase.*** Your Intelligence score increase by 2, and your Constitution increases by 1. ***Age.*** Dwomes mature at the same rate humans do, but are not considered mature until around age 40-50. ***Alignment.*** Dwomes, like their parents, are most often good, and tend towards law, thanks to their dwarven blood. ***Size.*** Dwomes are between 4 and 5 feet tall and are a bit lighter than the average dwarf.
