Fanatic

By @homebrewlesbian

The Fanatic archetype is for rogues with
a connection to the divine. Perhaps you kill
in the name of what you pray to, maybe you
are the subtle knife eliminating your clergy's
enemies, or your bloodline itself may be blessed.

Regardless of your origin, you lurk in the shadows,
delivering justice to sinners and those that sully your
god's name.

Fanatic Features
Rogue Level Feature
3rd Holy Knife
9th Stigmata
13th Consecrated Body, Divine Strike
17th Rebuke the Sinners

Holy Knife

Starting at 3rd level, your devotion has been rewarded. You may choose for your Sneak Attacks to deal radiant damage instead of the normal damage type.

In addition, you don't need advantage on your attack roll to use your Sneak Attack on a target if it damaged you or an ally you can see on its last turn. All the other rules for the Sneak Attack class feature still apply to you.

Stigmata

At 9th level, a higher power implores you to seek and destroy sinners and the damned. You may use a bonus action to brand a creature within 60 ft. of you with a Stigmata, a symbol representing your god. You have advantage on attacks made against the creature branded with your Stigmata.

Additionally, you may track and locate a creature branded with your Stigmata for up to a week before it fades. Your Stigmata fades if the creature crosses onto another plane. You cannot have multiple Stigmatas placed at once.

You may use this ability once per short or long rest.

Consecrated Body

At 13th level, your blood and flesh has been imbued with celestial vitality. You are immune to poisons and disease and gain resistance to poison damage.

Divine Strike

Additionally at 13th level, you can infuse your weapon with divine energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 2d8 radiant damage to the target.

Rebuke the Sinners

At 17th level, your fervor empowers you to extinguish those that do not acknowledge your tie to divinity. When you successfully hit a creature with an attack you may choose to rebuke them, damning their soul to the nine hells. This attack deals an additional 7d10 radiant damage. As a result of the intensity of this divine energy, you take radiant damage equal to your Rogue level.

A creature reduced to zero HP by this attack instantly crumbles to ash and cannot be revived or resurrected. This feature stacks with Sneak Attack.

You may use this ability once per long rest.

Author's Notes

Fanatic, or Inquisitor as it was initially called, is meant to bridge the gap between Paladins and Rogues, with a hint of Cleric.

When making your Fanatic (or maybe you prefer the term Inquisitor, in which I suggest you use it), consider their alignment. The language used in the descriptive pieces of this brew lean towards evil and blind devotion, however it's very easy to make this applicable to a chaotic or even a lawful good rogue.

Despite the name, Holy Knife does apply to attacks made with any rogue weapon that qualifies for Sneak Attack.
