Sorcerous Origin Spells

The sorcerer class is very limited in the number of spells it knows. Though a sorcerer who specializes well can be devastatingly powerful, there's often little room in a sorcerer's collection of spells for personalization or versatility. These optional spell lists aim to fix that. They provide thematically appropriate spells on a per-subclass basis, to provide sorcerers with more options and help individual sorcerers feel more unique.

If you choose to use these spell lists, you learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in the sorcerer class, as shown in the table associated with your sorcerous origin. The spells count as sorcerer spells for you, but they don't count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.
