Legendary Rings of An Wu

Many attribute An Wu with creating the principles of martial arts. Through sheer force of will she perfected each art in its turn. During her life, she founded many great temples throughout the lands. Many studied at these temples, but some did not learn humility or patience. The unenlightened harried her at each step of her journey. Thousands of would be master came to challenge her. None could defeat her, but the battles would not cease. She longed for peace and tranquility, so devised a plan. She sought out to master the four elements. From them she crafted rings of power. One from earth, steady and hard; one from water, fluid and relentless; one from wind, fast and unseen; and one from fire, passionate and consuming. In a grand demonstration she scattered the four rings to the ends of the earth. She promised that anyone who possessed the four rings would gain all of her knowledge and skill. With that, it is said that she finally found peace.

This set of rings can be attuned to with one slot if all four are worn at once. When that happens, a great power is said to manifest in the wearer.

Ring of Wind

Ring, legendary (requires attunement by a Druid or Monk)

This nearly invisible ring is a swirling nimbus of air and the occasional lightning. While wearing this ring your cloths billow dramatically. You also gain the following benefits:

  • You can speak, write and understand Auran.
  • A gust surrounds you when you fall slowing your descent to 60' per round. When you hit the ground you take no falling damage.
  • You resist lightning damage.

Ring of Earth

Ring, legendary (requires attunement by a Druid or Monk)

This smooth amber ring contains flecks of gold, mithril, silver and platinum. While wearing this ring it glows slightly as if sunlight were passing through it. You also gain the following benefits:

  • You can speak, write and understand Terran.
  • Once per day you can glide through the ground for a turn without displacing the earth.
  • You resist acid damage.

Ring of Water

Ring, legendary (requires attunement by a Druid or Monk)

This flowing ring of water winds around your finger without getting anything wet. While wearing this ring water is pulled towards your hand as if magnetized to it. You also gain the following benefits:

  • You can speak, write and understand Aquan.
  • You can breath in water
  • You resist cold damage.

Ring of Fire

Ring, legendary (requires attunement by a Druid or Monk)

This glowing ring of fire flicks flames up your finger, keeping you warm. While wearing this ring your eyes glow with an inner fire. You also gain the following benefits:

  • You can speak, write and understand Ignan.
  • Once per day when you are hit with a melee attack, you can use use your reaction to cause a gout of flame to erupt and engulf the attacker in fire. The attacker must succeed a dexterity saving throw (8 + prof + wis ability) or take 2D8 fire damage.
  • You resist fire damage.
