Mage Hunter Conclave

No matter how powerful a spellcaster, they have every reason to fear a mage hunter. Rangers of this conclave are often hired to slay mages deemed evil or dangerous. Though this archetype is one antithetical to magic, you still use spells like any other ranger. However, your spellcasting and features can be reinterpreted as psionic power or simply the will to overcome magic.

Mage Hunter Magic

You gain conclave spells at the ranger levels listed in the Hunter Spells table. These are always prepared and don't count against your list of prepared spells.

Additionally, if a creature concentrating on a spell takes force damage from any of your conclave features, it automatically loses concentration.

Magic Sensitivity

At 3rd level, your knowledge of hunting mages grants you profiency in Arcana. You can also cast detect magic at will, without expending a spell slot or material components

Antimagic Barrier

At 7th level, You have an antimagic barrier that has a number of hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier + half your ranger level. This barrier shares any damage resistances or immunities you may have. It regains any of its missing hit points at the start of each of your turns. Whenever you take damage from a spell or magical effect, the barrier takes the damage instead. If this damage reduces the barrier to 0 hit points, you take any remaining damage.

After this barrier is depleted, your next weapon attack before the end of your next turn that hits a creature deals 1d6 additional force damage.

At 11th level, you gain dispel magic as a ranger spell. It's always prepared and doesn't count against your list of prepared spells.

After you counter a spell with counterspell or dispel magic, your next weapon attack before the end of your next turn that hits a creature deals 1d6 additional force damage for each level of the spell you countered.

Nullify

At 15th level, you are resistant to damage from spell attacks and magical weapons. While you have your Antimagic Barrier, you also have advantage on saving throws against spells and magical effects.
