Modular Warlock Tweaks
This document contains a bunch of tweaks designed to fix most of the well-known problems with warlocks in addition to some of my personal gripes. Also it contains a few new invocations and expansions for Pact Boons. You can pick and choose which options to use, without anything breaking.
Long Rest Pact Magic
You gain a number of reserve spell slots, equal to twice the number of spell slots from your Pact Magic feature. You can spend 1 minute to contact your patron and regain any number of missing Pact Magic slots, removing the same amount from your reserve.
Additionally, you can use an ability that requires a spell slot, even if have no Pact Magic slots available, using 2 reserve spell slots instead. You can't use an ability in this way if you have less than 2 reserve spell slots.
Expanded Pact Boons
Pact Boons are given additional abilities, depending on your Warlock level, to free up invocation space for more interesting and flavorful choices, in addition to making the choice of your Pact Boon more meaningful.
Pact of the Blade
3rd level You gain proficiency in medium armor and shields. Additionally, you can use your Charisma modifier for attack and damage rolls made with your pact weapon.
5th level You gain the Thirsting Blade invocation. It doesn't count against your nymber of invocations known.
11th level You gain the Lifedrinker invocation, ignoring its prerequisites. It doesn't count against your number of invocations known.
Pact of the Chain
3rd level Casting time of Find Familiar as a ritual is 10 minutes for you, and it doesn't require material components.
Additionally, the number of hit points of a familiar summoned this way is equal to 4 + double your Warlock level.
5th level You gain the Voice of the Chain Master invocation. It doesn't count against youe number of invocations known.
11th level You can constantly perceive through your familiar's senses without using actions or going deaf and blind, as long as you are on the same plane of existence.
Additionally, you can command your familiar to attack as a bonus action.
Pact of the Tome
5th level You gain the Book of Ancient Secrets invocation. It doesn't count against your number of invocations known.
Prepared Patron Spells
You can prepare an number of spells equal to half your Warlock level (rounded up) from your Patron's expanded spell list.
You can cast those spells using your your Pact Magic feature and they don't count against your number of spell known.
You can change your selection when you finish a long rest.
Tweaked Patron Features
Great Old One: Entropic Ward
You don't expend the use of this feature if the creature hits you with the attack that you impose disadvantage on.
Tweaked Invocations
Beguiling Influence
If you are already proficient with either or both of those skills, your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses that proficiency.
Improved Pact Weapon
If your pact weapon already has a bonus to attack rolls, you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls, instead of the +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls.
Additionally, you can choose to remove the Loading property from your pact weapon, reducing your bonus to damage rolls by 1.

New Invocations
Lifeless Servants
Prerequisite: 5th level
You can cast Animate Dead two times using warlock spell slots. You can't do so again until you finish a long rest.
Uncanny Endurance
Prerequisite: Pact of the Blade feature
While you are not wearing any armor, your armor class equals 9 + your Dexterity modifier + your Charisma modifier. You can use a shield and still gain this benefit.
Summoned Warrior
Prerequisites: 5th level, Pact of the Chain feature
Your familiar's AC becomes 13 + its Dexterity modifier. Additionally, it can use your Warlock spell attack modifier for attack rolls and your Charisma modifier for damage rolls.
Eldritch Conduit
Prerequisites: 5th level, Pact of the Chain feature
Your familiar's ability save DC becomes equal to your Warlock spell save DC
Additionally, when casting a spell, you can cast it as if you were standing in the space of your familiar.
Book of the Dead
Prerequisites: 9th level, Pact of the Tome feature
You can perform a 10 minute ritual on a corpse, when it is completed the corpse vanishes and it and part of its soul become trapped in a pocked dimension linked with your Book of Shadows.
The corpse doesn't age while trapped. As long as you have your Book of Shadows on you, you can take the corpse out as part of casting a spell that requires a corpse, or after performing a 10 minute ritual. Once you take the corpse out, you can't put it back in.
You can write questions to the creatures trapped in your Book of Shadows, and they will answer them in the same way they would have a moment before they died. After you write a question to a creature, you can't write more questions to that creature until you complete a long rest.
Eldritch Manual
Prerequisite: Pact of the Tome feature
Choose two skills or tools. You gain proficiency in them. If you are already proficient with either or both of them, your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses that proficiency.
Alternatively, choose one skill or tool you are not proficient with. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that skill or tool.
Spellstealer
Prerequisite: 5th level, Pact of the Tome feature
You can cast Counterspell using your Warlock spell slots, it doesn't count against your number of spells known.
When you successfully interrupt a spell of 5th level or lower using Counterspell, you can choose to magically inscribe that spell on a page in your Book of Shadows.
While it is inscribed, you can cast it using your Warlock spell slots if they are of sufficient level, it doesn't count against your number of spells known.
The page with this spell is considered a spell scroll with one difference - the spell doesn't have to be on your spell list for you to cast it.
If you try to inscribe a spell while one is already inscribed, the previous one fades from the pade.
Master Spellstealer
Prerequisite: 11th level, Pact of the Tome feature, Spellstealer feature
You can now steal spells of any level. Additionally, you can now have up to 3 spell incribed at the same time, choosing which to replace when you inscribe a new one.
Also you can expend uses of your Mystic Arcanum feature to cast Counterspell and stolen spells.
