Sorcerous Origin: Blood Curse

Sometime in the life of either you or one of your ancestors, something great and powerful took offence to an action, one that was perceived as a great insult. So great, in fact, that this great and powerful entity cursed your family’s bloodline, dooming them to a cursed existence, using magical power by draining their very life force. Over time, however, this curse has changed, granting you extraordinary abilities

Blood Magic

Starting at 1st level, you can sacrifice your life force to make yourself more powerful.

When you cast a sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher, you can choose to take damage to cast the spell instead of expending a spell slot. You take damage equal to 5 times the spell's level. As you gain sorcerer levels, you can use this ability to cast more powerful spells. Starting at 7th, 13th and 19th level, you can use this ability to cast 2nd, 3rd and 4th level spells, respectively.

Sanguid Conquest

Starting at 6th level, your blood becomes toxic to other creatures.

If you are damaged by an ability that would restore that creature’s hit points, you can use your reaction to create a lethal spike in your blood’s power, dealing necrotic damage to the creature equal to the damage taken and negating the healing effect.

In addition, whenever you reduce a creature within reach to 0 hit points, you can choose to regain expended sorcery points equal to half the creature's challenge rating. Once you use this ability, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest.

Blood Hunt

Starting at 14th level, you can imbue a target with a modicum of your curse. You have advantage on attack rolls against creatures you have damaged on your last turn, and creatures have disadvantage on attack rolls against you if they have damaged you on their last turn.

You also gain these effects if you are under a quarter of your maximum hit points, regardless of whether you have damaged a creature on your turn.

Viscous Curse

Beginning at 18th level, your curse has already done the worst it could do, and you now laugh at its attempts to harm you.
