## Ki Warrior - Fighter Archetype by Spyyke ## Martial Arts As a Fighter you begin crudely training in Martial Arts, a discipline practiced by Monks. While Monks train their entire lives to hone their Ki both Internally and Externally a fighter can only hope to achieve both. When starting your training as a Ki Warrior you practice Internal Ki training taking in your previous proficiency in Weapons Training to create a new breed of Fighter. Beginning at 3rd level you gain proficiency in Unarmed Strike and you can use Dexterity instead of Strength when making your Unarmed Strikes. You also gain the following benefits: - When using a Dexterity Unarmed Strike the dice is a d4, and using a Strength Unarmed Strike is a d6 - You gain proficiency in Improvised Weapons - You gain an additional Fighting Style. Each time you level up you can switch one fighting style for another ## Ki Ki is a life force energy almost every mortal being possesses, it is just a matter of awakening the power within. For Fighters accessing their inner Ki no easy feat. But due to their hardy nature and their experience in combat, it can be unlocked through various means. Also beginning at 3rd Level you gain Ki Points which are used on Ki Moves. The saving throw DC is calculated as follows:

When you spend a ki point, it is unavailable until you finish a short or long rest, at the end of which you draw all of your expended ki back into yourself. You must spend at least 30 minutes of the rest meditating to regain your ki points. \columnbreak ## Potential Unleashed Your practice as a Ki Warrior has allowed you to maintain a internal form where you no longer need to focus on it actively, as your body runs passively. You focus your Ki internally strengthening your body and stamina to better survive and instinctively allowing your body to move with the flow of battle. At 7th Level when not wearing Armour your AC is 8 + Your Dexterity Modifier + Your Wisdom Modifier. You can also wield a Shield an maintain its benefits. Additionally you can **Dash** equal to both your Constitution Modifier and Proficiency Bonus, you are able to **hold your breath** equal to your Constitution Modifier times your Proficiency Bonus in minutes. You can also survive without sustenance or sleep for twice as long, and March and Labour for twice as long. Finally you add your Proficiency Bonus to Constitution Checks to resist Exhaustion or minor effects. ## Empathetic Reading Your ability to read your opponents within battle have evolved to a point where reading people is second nature, and almost being able to study them gives you information unseen to the untrained eye. At 10th level you can focus your mind to a target and gain an understanding to their personality and prowess. If you spend at least 1 minute observing or interacting with another creature outside combat, you can learn certain information about its capabilities and gain two of the following: - Current Emotional State (e.g Anxious, Sad, Worried, etc) - Their Intentions (e.g Nefarious, Sinister, Giving, Helpful, etc.) - Magic or Ki user. How many Spell Slots/Ki Points they have. - AC - Class Level - Strength, Dexterity or Constitution score (choose one) ## Adrenaline Surge When you push yourself to break your own limits as a Fighter, you can momentarily perform a feat of spectacular display. At 15th level when using Action Surge on your turn. You can perform one Ki Move without using Ki Points until the start of your next turn. ## Second Wind Your trust worthy ability to regain vigor and vitality has always been with you from the start, now with the aid of your internal Ki energy and will power you can gain greater benefits. Starting at 18th level when you are reduced to 0HP and you have your Second Wind feature available, you can use the feature to immediately regain HP. When used this way you can boost the effectiveness of your healing. You can add number of your Short Rest Hit Die up to your Wisdom Modifier on top of your original Second Wind Hit Die, you add your level after rolling all dice. \pagebreak # Ki Moves ## 3rd Level #### Ultra Instinct When you are Attacked by a melee attack. You can attempt to parry the attack and reduce the damage by 1d10 + Your Dexterity Modifier + Your Fighter Level. #### Sonic Step You can spend 1 Ki Point to take the Dash Action as a Bonus Action. At 7th level your Jump Distance is doubled and at 10th Level you can run across Vertical and Liquid Surfaces without falling on your turn. ## 7th Level #### Counter strike When you reduce a Melee attack against you to 0hp when using Ultra Instinct. You can spend 1 Ki point to make an Melee attack within the same reaction. #### Purge As an Action you can spend 1 Ki Point to end a Charm, Fear or Poison Effect or reduce an Exhaustion Point by 1. #### Swift Sheathe You can spend 1 Ki Point and until the end of your next turn you can stow and equip weapons or items twice on your turn without incurring additional actions and interacting with an item or object is a Bonus Action. \columnbreak ## 10th Level #### Deflect Missile You can spend 1 Ki Point empower your Shield, Weapon or Unarmed Strike with reflective ki energy as a Bonus Action. Until the start of your next turn when attacked by a ranged attack, you can as a reaction you can reduce the damage by 1d10 + Dexterity Modifier + Fighter Level, if the damage is reduced to 0 you can deflect the attack back at a range of 20/60, within the same reaction. #### Ki Durability As an Action you can spend 1 Ki point to brace yourself from damage, until the start of your next turn you gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage. #### Focus Strike You force Ki to surge through body, momentarily improving your aim. You can spend 1 Ki point to attack a targets specific point. When you make a Melee or Ranged Attack you must declare which point your are targeting, spend 1 Ki Point and roll to attack without disadvantage. You gain different effects when targeting an enemy point: - Arms: On hit the target must make a Strength Saving Throw or be disarmed of a weapon they are holding. - Legs: On hit the target must make a Strength Saving Throw or the target falls prone. - Body: On hit the target must make Strength Saving Throw or be shoved back 10ft - Head: On hit the target must make a Constitution Saving Throw or it looses it reaction until the start of its next turn - Wings: On hit the target must make a Constitution Saving Throw or falls equal to half its total movement speed ## 15th Level #### Empowered Strike As a Bonus Action you can extend your internal Ki energy to your Unarmed Strike or one Melee Weapon you are holding. Until the end of your next turn your attack overcome resistance and immunity to non magical damage. At 15th level you can empower a single ranged weapon or a single ammunition with the same energy to achieve the same effect. ## 18th Level #### Stunning Strike When you hit another creature with a melee weapon attack, you can spend 1 ki point to attempt a stunning strike. The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of your next turn. You can spend 2 Ki points to empower a single ranged weapon or single ammunition to achieve the same effect.
