Weapon (mace), rare
Attacks made with this magical weapon have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls.
Whenever you kill a Medium creature of CR 1 or higher using this weapon, the finishing blow shatters the creature's skull, sending 10d10 gold pieces flying.
Curse. This mace is cursed, a fact that is revealed only when an identify spell is cast on the mace or you are cursed by it. Killing a Medium creature of CR 1 or higher using this mace curses you until you are targeted by the remove curse spell or similar magic. Whenever you roll a 1 on an attack roll while cursed, you must make a DC 15 Charisma saving throw. On a failure, the arm wielding this mace is petrified and transmuted to solid gold until targeted by greater restoration or similar magic.
Midas' Caress
Weapon (morningstar), rare
Attacks made with this magical weapon have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls. This item has 10 charges and regains 1d10 charges daily at dawn.
Whenever you hit a creature with this weapon, you can expend one of its charges to cause the creature's flesh to turn to gold, shattering it and sending a number of gold pieces flying. The number of gold pieces created is equal to the damage dealt.
Midas' Curse
Weapon (maul), rare
Attacks made with this magical weapon have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls.
Whenever you kill a creature of Medium size or larger and CR 1 or higher using this weapon, the finishing blow shatters the creature's skull into a number of gold pieces equal to the creature's CR x the creature's Hit Die.
Curse: This maul is cursed, and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you. As long as you remain cursed, you are unwilling to part with it, keeping it within reach at all times. You also have disadvantage on attack rolls with weapons other than this one.
When you roll a 1 on an attack against a hostile creature using this weapon, you must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, the arm you wield the maul with is petrified and transmuted to solid gold. A greater restoration spell or similar magic can remove the petrification, however only a wish spell can remove the curse.
