Great Ooze Patron: Warlock
Your patron is an ooze of immense size and power; perhaps an incredibly old oblex took a liking to you, or perhaps you were gifted with a piece of the great slime god Jubilex, or perhaps it was a chance encounter with a particularly intelligent black pudding. The desires of these beings are usually simple and straightforward: To create chaos, and to consume all that they can.
Pact Spells
The Great Ooze lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.
| Spell level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 1st | ray of sickness, grease |
| 2nd | enlarge/reduce, Melf's acid arrow |
| 3rd | meld into stone, slow |
| 4th | watery sphere, vitriolic sphere |
| 5th | contagion, cloudkill |
Ooze Biology
At 1st level, your body starts to become more slime-like, softening oncoming blows. Your hit point maximum increases by 1 and increases by 1 again whenever you gain a level in this class, and you gain resistance to acid damage. Additionally, while you are wearing no armor, your AC equals 13 + your Dexterity modifier.
Slimy Warrior
Also starting at 1st level, you begin to secrete powerful acids through your skin. Whenever you make an unarmed strike, it deals 1d6 acid damage, and you may use Charisma instead of Strength for attack and damage rolls. When you hit a creature with this unarmed strike, you can use a bonus action to force that creature to make a Strength saving throw. On a fail, you grapple the creature. Your unarmed strikes are considered natural weapons.
Ooze Form
Starting at 6th level, you can use an Action to enter a proper ooze-like form for 10 minutes. While in your Ooze Form, you can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing, and you climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check. You may not cast spells with somatic components while in your Ooze Form.
Once you use this ability, you cannot do so until you finish a short or long rest
Viscous Body
Starting at 10th level, you are always treated as being in your Ooze Form, and you may cast spells with somatic components while in your Ooze Form. Additionally, you are immune to being grappled, restrained, or knocked prone.
Engulf
Starting at 14th level, when you successfully hit a large or smaller creature with an unarmed strike, you may fully engulf them. The engulfed creature is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside of you, and it takes 6d6 acid damage at the start of each of your turns. The creature may make a strength saving throw as an action on it's turn, ending the effect on a success.
You must finish a short or long rest before you can use this feature again.
