## Miraluka The Miraluka are a race not unlike humans in a appearance with the exception of their empty vestigial eye sockets. Members of this race have adapted to literally see the world in a different way than any other in existence. They can often be seen to wear decorative masks covering their faces for social reasons. ### Miralukan Society The Miraluka are a very cautious people and rarely take action without deliberation. They consider themselves to be one big family and often refer to each other as brother and sister. Due to an incident in their past they are not always trusting of outsiders and their society lives in isolation from the rest of the world. The Miraluka have a special order known as the Luka Sene which trains skilled Miralukans in the use of magic and helps them train their sight. The Luka Sene also tries to help prevent Miraluka from falling to evil and if a Miraluka is at risk of becoming evil they may send a group called the Sene Seekers to try to prevent stop them or, failing that, prevent them from using their powers for evil. ### Religion and Spirituality Many Miraluka worship two deities named Ashla, who represents the positive aspects of life and death, and Bogan, who represents the negative. The worship of them is not organized and so there are no clerics of their religion. Miraluka often meditate to help themselves think and keep themselves emotionally balanced and the Luka Sene have designated areas set aside for it in Miralukan settlements. ### Miralukan Names Miraluka seem to have short names, often only two syllables long and easy to pronounce. They also usually, though not always, sound a bit harsh. **Male:** Sofel, Nofiis, Bufor, Jaghel, Lozor **Female:** Flolic, Rigat, Yocel, Ducok, Vuyol \columnbreak ### Miralukan Traits While Miralukan sight is unique the race itself lacks much else in the way of traits. **Ability Score Increase**: Your Intelligence increases by 2, your Charisma increases by 1, and your Dexterity decreases by 2. **Age:** Miralukans are considered adults at 16 and typically live until 85. **Size:** The average Miralukan is about 5 foot 9 inches and 165 pounds. Their size is Medium. **Speed:** Your base walking speed is 30 feet. **Magical Sight:** A Miraluka is born with no eyes and empty vestigial eye sockets. Instead of seeing with their eyes Miraluka see with innate magic this offsets their physical blindness and makes them immune to the effects of the blinded condition. With their magical sight a Miraluka is unaffected by darkness or lightly obscured areas, can read and write as though they could see, and is unable to perceive color. In addition, a Miraluka can have one of the following special features on their magical sight and can only change which one they have after completing a long rest. * You have the ability to see magical auras and determine their type and strength with their magical sight. This has the same restrictions to seeing through barriers as Detect Magic. * You gain the ability to see people's alignments as a faint outline of color this ability does not function if the person is behind total cover or is in a heavily obscured area. This ability does not function if you are within an antimagic field or other such area nor can you see into them if outside. **Magical Knack:** You gain proficiency in Arcana checks. **Languages:** You can speak, read, and write Common and Miralukese. ## Racial Feat ### Trained Sight You have undertaken the training of the Luka Sene and your sight has become enhanced beyond normal limitations. Prerequisite: Miraluka * Increase your Intelligence or Charisma by 1, to a maximum of 20. * You can have both of the special features of your magical sight active at the same time. * Your sight allows you see past cover though with minor difficulty. You can use your bonus action to ignore the effects of half and three-quarters cover for melee, ranged, and magic attacks.
