Undead Army Monster Class
\pagebreakNum \pagebreakNum ## Undead Army This is an special class for undead monsters that gives them some class feat and features from the fighter, the cleric or the wizard classes. The class has only 10 levels. ### Taint When an undead gains this class it gains one type of taint: Body, Spirit or Soul. The taint gives the undead their features as shown in the corresponding table below ## Taint Body ### Tainted body undeads are foot soldiers with weapons:
Spears, Flail and shield or Bows.
They use some basic tactics in combat they remember from their ancient life.
**Tainted Body** undead gain the following class features #### Hit Points
___ - **Hit Dice:** 1d8 per Taint Body level - **Hit Points at 1st Level:** as per Undead - **Hit Points at Higher Levels:** 1d8 (or 4) + Constitution modifier per Taint Body level after the first.
#### Proficiencies ___ - **Armor:** Heavy (Shielbearers); Light (Spears and Archers) - **Weapons:** Flail (Shielbearers), Spear and Longbow - **Saving Throws:** Constitution, Wisdom
#### Starting Equipment Each undead start with the armor and weapon they are proficiency.
See below for special rules on equipment.
> ##### Cursed Equipment > You can rule the equipment has a taint too and is not good for anyone:
The PCs will suffer nightmares (no long rest) or discomfort (disadvantage on rolls) using armor or weapons from these undeads.
Or you can choose to make the equipment turn to dust when the undead is defeated.

### Army Specialist The **Tainted Body** undead has a role in the army as Archers, blockers or damagers.
At 1st level each undead has a fighting style to fulfill their role:
##### Archery
You gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls you make with ranged weapons. ##### Great Weapon Fighting (Spear)
When you roll a 1 or 2 on a damage die for an attack you make with a melee weapon that you are wielding with two hands, you can reroll the die and must use the new roll, even if the new roll is a 1 or a 2. ##### Defense (Flail and Shield)
While you are wearing armor, you gain a +1 bonus to AC.
At 2nd level they have another advantage accoding to his role: ##### Extra Attack
Archers can attack twice with the Longbow. ##### Spear condition: Bleed
When damaging an opponent with a spear the target must make a Con save 8 + 1/2 damage or gains the condition bleed. (see below) \pagebreakNum ##### Protection
When a creature you can see attacks a target other than you that is within 5 feet of YOtl,you can use yourreaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll. You must be wielding a shield.
At 7th level they are more specialized in their role. ##### Improved Critical.
Archers now score a critical on a roll of 19-20. ##### Improved Shove.
When wilding a spear the undead are proficiency with Str (Athletics) and can use his reaction to shove a creature at reach with advantage. The undead can even throw the spear to make this action, but doing this way don't gain advantage. ##### Tough.
The undead maximum hit points are increased by 14.An its hit point maximun increases by an additional 3 points at 8th and 9th level. ### Master Rejuvenation Once the undead gains the 1st level in this class he has this special condition that triggers only once depending on their initial form and Taint.
The first time a **Tainted Body** undead is destroyed, even by means of destroy undead, critical hits or radiant damage; his remains are raised as an skeleton with full hp with the same level in this class. ### Weapon Bond A 3rd level **Tainted Body** undead has a special connection with the weapon and shield that wields.
Once per turn, as an action, the undead can materialize the weapon they are proficiency or shield if heavy armored. ### Ability Score Improvement When reach 4th level, and again at 6th, 8th and 10th level, Archers increase their Dex ability score by 2 and the other **Tainted Body** undead their Str ability score by 2. ### Equipment Enhacement At 4th level, and then at 7th and 9th level the undead army has weapons and armor magically enhanced acording to the next table: | Level | Weapon/Armor | |:---:|:-----------:| | 4th| +1/+1 | | 7th| +2/+2 | | 9th| +4/+3 | > ##### Equipment Enhacement >You can combine this enhacements maybe increase or decrease the bonus depending on the PCs and the challenge you present.
Maybe they encounter a party with 3 undeads in chain mail armor +2 and Shield +2 covering a spear +2 wilder undead with leather +1 and an Archer with a Longbow +4 and no armor.
## Taint Spirit ### Tainted spirit undeads are healer and sometimes leaders: can order the foot soldiers to perform some basic combat tactics.
They use some inflict damagins spells to attack or heal.
**Tainted Spirit** undead gain the following class features #### Hit Points
___ - **Hit Dice:** 1d6 per Taint Spirit level - **Hit Points at 1st Level:** as per Undead - **Hit Points at Higher Levels:** 1d6 (or 3) + Constitution modifier per Taint Spirit level after the first.
#### Proficiencies ___ - **Armor:** Heavy and shield. - **Weapons:** Flail (Shielbearers). - **Saving Throws:** Constitution, Wisdom

> ##### Undead Army Magic > Tainted Spirit and Tainted Mind undeads can cast spells. The first are former clerics or paladins in the army ranks the later are former wizards or sorcerers at the army services. Now they are able to use some of the former casting abilities but with less efficiency and some tainted twist.
**Tainted sprit** undead simulate the praying to a god, maybe even a evil god is answer this call or maybe is the "*Tainted soul*" himself acting as a patron.
**Tainted mind** undead are as sorcerers with more charisma, they have an aura of power, but limited in spells and features. \pagebreakNum

### Spellcasting **Tainted Spirit** undead can cast cleric spells with some restrictions: Can't cast any healing spell nor spells from the living domian nor spells that deals radiant damage.
##### Cantrips At 1st level **Tainted Spirit** undead known two cantrips from the cleric spell list with the exceptions mentioned above. They learn additional cantrips at higher levels, as shown in the Cantrips Known column of the Tainted Spirit table.
If you have access to the **Xanathar's Guide to Everything** one of the cantrips they know is *Toll the Dead* ##### Spellcasting Ability Wisdom is the spellcasting ability for the **Tainted Soul** undead spells.
**Spell save DC** = 8 + proficiency bonus + Wis modifier
**Spell attack modifier** = proficiency bonus + Wis modifier ##### Spellcasting Focus They use the symbol from the **Undead Army** as spellcasting focus. ### Improved Wisdom When an undead gains the 1st level of this class their wisdom became 16 if lower. \columnbreak
### Extra Spells **Tainted Spirit** undeads have a list of spells as per domain spells: this spells are always prepared and don't count against the number of spells they can prepare each day.

##### Condition: Bleed This condition stacks up to 5 times. The character suffer 1hp damage per level of the condition at the end of each round. If he takes 1 or more actions during the round, he suffer 1d4 damages per level of the condition instead.
