> #### Lair Actions
> On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), the Bedrock Bosun takes a lair action to cause one of the following magical effects:
>
> - A whirlpool with a 40-foot radius appears centered on one point within the lair. All creatures in the radius must succeed on a Strength saving throw, or be pulled 20 feet closer towards its center.
> - The Bosun summons 1d4 of his fallen crewmates, who use the game statistics of a shadow, with a change of having 30 ft. swim speed. These crewmates will vanish on the initiative count of 20 on the next round.
> - The sunken ship of Bedrock Bosun moves 100 feet in one direction. Any creature that's hit by the ship must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 5d6 bludgeoning damage and getting stunned on a failure.

> #### Regional Effects
> The region containing a legendary Bedrock Bosun's lair is warped by his magic, which creates one or more of the following effects:
>
> - The creaking sounds produced by ships are unusually silent within 10 miles of the lair.
> - Any creature that gets drunk within 10 miles of the lair will feel overwhelming guilt.
> - The clouds within 5 miles of the lair take form of
>

> straight lines, resembling ship sails and ropes.
> - If a ship resides within 5 miles of the lair for more than 8 hours, there will be at least one sailor on the ship that will seek a way to leave it at all times, even if it costs them their life. When they leave it, another is overcome with these compulsions.

> If the Bosun dies, the clouds will take a regular form over 1d4 days, and all other effects cease within a day.
>
