## Mikazuki Munechika *Rare, +1 Sword (Requires Attunement)* ___ A legendary katana created when a master swordsmith bathed her prized creation under the moonlight, sacrificing her own soul to give birth to one of the greatest blades of all time. The blade was endowed with the blessing of the the moon, hoping for it to protect, and attack, working hand in hand to bring great power to its user. The blade is a truly unique one, its dual forms clearly showing the divide between Yin and Yang, light and dark. Mikazuki's Katana form is shorter, measuring in at 80 cm. The metal shines dimly in darkness, signifying the lightness of the full Moon in a dark night. A flash of the hand transforms the sword into its odachi form, turning pitch black and increasing in length to a massive 110 cm, signifying the heaviness of a dark moon. ***Lightness and Heaviness.*** Using a bonus action, and uttering a command word, Mikazuki alternates between both its forms. ***Moonform - Tsuki.*** This form of Mikazuki is a katana using the stats of a *longsword*. In this form, the blade emits dim light in a 10 ft radius around it. ***Nightform - Yoru.*** This form of Mikazuki is an odachi using the stats of a *greatsword*. In this form the blade, 10 feet around the user, turns bright light into dim lighting and dim lighting into darkness. ***Reforging.*** *Mikazuki* can be reforged again using the following ritual: ***Ritual of the Waning Crescent.*** To perform this ritual, a player must prepare 50 GP worth of gemstones, as well as a body of water with direct sight to the moon. On the night of a full moon, a *shadow blade* and *shield of faith* spell must be used on the blade, and the ritual can be performed by anybody by spending 1 hour to inscribe the ritual diagram and sacrifice the materials, or by casting a 3rd-level or higher moonbeam onto the blade. #### First Reforging *Very Rare, +2 Sword (Requires Attunement)* ___ Bathed in the moonlight and shining with great radiance, *Mikazuki Munechika* becomes a stronger blade than before. The blade has the same abilities as before with the following additions. ***Tate no Getsuei - Tsuki form.*** By using an action and uttering a command word, Mikazuki will grant the user +2 to AC for 2 minutes. This ability can be used 4 times, gaining all charges back at midnight. ***Kage no Shime - Yoru form..*** By using an action, you stab the sword into the floor, causing a large explosion of darkness 10 feet around you. All creatures must make a Constituition saving throw (save DC 15) or be restrained until the start of your next turn. This ability can be used 4 times, gaining all charges back at midnight. ***Reforging.*** *Mikazuki* can be reforged again using the following ritual: ___ ***Ritual of the Moon.*** To perform this ritual, a player must gather 1000 GP worth of gemstones, as well as prepare a location with powerful lunar energies. On the night of a full moon, with a flame of 5th-level or higher as the power source, the ritual can be performed by anybody by spending 8 hours to inscribe the ritual diagram and sacrifice the materials, or by casting a 5th-level or higher moonbeam onto the blade. #### Second Reforging *Legendary, +3 Sword (Requires Attunement)* ___ Absorbing the moonlight til saturation, *Mikazuki Munechika* evolves into its final form, gaining great strength to fell its foes. The Blade has the same abilities as before with the following additions. ***Gekkou no Katen.*** *Tate no Getsuei* is replaced by this ability, which when a bonus action is used and a command word is uttered, Mikazuki shines brightly and calls down a large wall of moonlight surrounding the player, giving the player +2 to AC until the ability is stopped, either by using another bonus action to stop it, changing *Mikazuki's* form, or the player is knocked unconscious. ***Kiyomeru no Hikari - Tsuki form.*** An avatar of the moon forms behind the player, causing every creature within a 30 feet radius with negative intention towards the player to make a saving throw (DC 15), dealing 4d8 radiant damage on a failed save and half damage on a successful one. Invisible creatures within the radius are revealed automatically. This ability can be used once and can be used again at midnight. ***Yami no Bakuhatsu.*** *Kage no Shime* is changed, whereby its range is now a 30 feet radius circle, and also deals 3d8 necrotic damage on a failed save, and half damage on a successful one. ***Kanou no Yami - Yoru form.*** The seeping darkness from the blade spreads out around the blade. Each time an attack is made with this weapon, all creatures within 5 feet of the target take damage equal to the proficiency bonus of the player, and are blinded until the start of the player's next turn. >#### Changelog >v1.01 >___ >- Fixed up abilities on second reforging.
