Tempest Conclave

Rangers of the Tempest Conclave are masters of the storm. They temper their will to not only survive, but channel the energy swirling around them. they are few in number, but they are legendary. Being mysterious warriors, very little is known about them.

Tempest Magic

Starting at 3rd level, you learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Tempest Conclave Spells list. The spell counts as a ranger spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of ranger spells you know.

  • 3rd level: Absorb Elements
  • 5th Level: Gust of Wind
  • 9th Level: Call Lightning
  • 13th Level: Storm Sphere
  • 17th level: Maelstrom

Storm Quiver

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to channel evocation magic into your arrows.

On one ranged weapon attack each turn, you are able to charge your arrow with storm magic, dealing 1d6 lightning damage to the original target and up to 2 other targets within 10 feet of each other. Upon reaching 11th level in this class, the damage increases to 2d6 and it can chain to up to 4 other targets.

This ability has 4 charges, which you regain when you finish a short or long rest.

Tempest Fortitude

At 7th level, you have learned to brave any storm.

You gain resistance to lightning and thunder damage. Upon reaching 15th level in this class, you gain immunity to lightning and thunder damage.

lightning Strikes

At 11th level, you have gained the ability to infuse yourself with storm magic.

On one melee weapon attack each turn, you are able to channel storm magic and attack up to 2 other targets within 30 feet of each other, moving between each but not provoking opportunity attacks, dealing 1d10 + your attack modifier lightning damage to each target.

This ability has 4 charges, which you regain when you finish a short or long rest.

Controlled Chaos

At 15th level, you have managed to permanently control storm magic.

All ranged weapon attacks are considered magical for the purpose of overcoming resistances and immunities. Additionally, for 1 minute you can use both Storm Quiver and Lightning Strikes without expending charges for those features.

You can use this feature once per long rest.
