Become a Patron!
# The Vast You have become one with infinity, a being who walks through greater voids than any other could begin to conceive of. You are the sky and the sea, and truly empty. Your patron is an unknowable eternity, a falling titan who guides you in the patterns of lightning and the clouds that birth it. ### Expanded Spell List The Vast lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you. ##### Vast Expanded Spells | **Spell Level** | **Spells** | |:---:|:---| | 1st | *fog cloud, thunderwave* | | 2nd | *gust of wind, levitate* | | 3rd | *call lightning, waterbreathing* | | 4th | *control water, ice storm* | | 5th | *telekinesis, Lichtenberg's web of lightning* | ### Of Infinity Starting at 1st level, you gain resistance to lightning and thunder damage, and you can speak Auran and Giant. ### Terminal Velocity Starting at 6th level, you can call on your patron's might to cause a creature to fall without moving. You select one creature within 30 feet. This creature must succeed on a strength saving throw or suffer the following effects. The creature enters a plane of endless sky, and begins falling at incredible speeds. It is considered frightened. At any point within 1 hour of taking this action, you may use a bonus action to decide that the creature has hit the ground. When you do so, the creature takes 4d8 force damage and is considered paralyzed and prone for one round. Upon doing so, the creature exits the plane and falls from the sky to the same location they were when you activated this effect. The damage increases according to your warlock level, dealing 6d8 at 10th level, 8d8 at 14th level, 10d8 at 18th level, and 12d8 at 20th level. You may use this feature once per long rest. You gain a second use at 12th level, and a third at 18th level. ### The Coming Storm Starting at 10th level, you become the avatar of infinity, and your strikes reflect this. All weapon attacks you make deal an extra 2d6 lightning damage, and all spells you cast that deal lightning damage deal full damage regardless of if a creature passes its saving throw or not. You also gain access to the fly spell if you did not already know it. You may cast this spell once per day without using a spell slot. \columnbreak ### Truly Infinite Starting at 14th level, your body and soul truly belong to The Vast. You gain a fly speed of 45 feet. Once per day, you may cast reverse gravity without using a spell slot. You are immune to lightning and thunder damage. Your patron sustains you so that you suffer none of the frailty of old age, and you can't be aged magically. At 20th level, the fly speed increases to 60 feet, and you may cast control weather once per day without using a spell slot. ### Lichtenberg's Web of Lightning As a warlock in service of The Vast, you gain access to the following spell: #### Lichtenberg's Web of Lightning 5th-level Evocation Casting Time: 1 action Range: 60 feet Components: V, S, M (A wooden ring made of a tree struck by lightning, a chunk of amber worth roughly 500gp) Duration: Instantaneous Holding a palm up to the sky, a web of lightning crackles out around you and five streaks of lightning rapidly snake through the air toward up to five enemies that you can see within range, leaping towards their target and tearing through their bodies upon reaching them. Each target must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 8d8 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Alternatively, all six streaks of lightning can instead converge toward a single target, dealing 12d10 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
