Arcane Tradition
At 2nd level, a most tasteful wizard can select Soup Wizardry as their Arcane Tradition.
Soup Wizardry
They laughed at you. The other wizards made fun of you for trying something different. Trying something to change the way people view magic. You showed them. You brought good cheer and good flavor to magic through an incredible new interdisciplinary approach: Soup Wizardry. Drawing on the traditional methods of alchemy and conjuration, you've cooked up something unknown to everyone.

A Taste for Alchemy
2nd Level Soup Wizardry Feature
A good cook knows the value of good ingredients. Sadly, the adventuring life isn't always conducive to exquisite conditions and materials. But a better cook knows how to make do with what they've got. Magic. You've practiced magic that few other wizard's have, and have learned the quintessential magic for your craft. Add the Purify Food and Drink spell to your spellbook.
A great cook takes care of their tools, but first make sure you know how to use them. Additionally, you gain proficiency with cooking utensils and can use them as your spellcasting focus.
Even if you didn't purify the food, would the barbarian even notice? - You, to yourself
A New Flavor of Conjuration
2nd Level Soup Wizardry Feature
You gain the ability to create magical soups provided you have sufficient ingredients. The effects of your soups depend on their flavor. You or your allies can consume magical soups during a short or long rest to gain their effects for a number of hours equal to your wizard level. During a long rest you can produce a number of soups equal to your intelligence modifier (min 2). You can't produce more than 2 of the same type of soup.
The options you can create are detailed at the end of this class.
Potent Aromatics
6th Level Soup Wizardry Feature
After you witness a creature consume one of your wonderful soups, you can inhale the lovely aroma of your masterwork and gain the same benefits.

Never Canned
10th Level Soup Wizardry Feature
You thought about the horrors of canned soup once. Never again. Nothing should be trapped. You gain advantage on saving throws against spells or effects to prevent being restrained.
Wizardry de Cuisine
14th Level Soup Wizardry Feature
What's there even to say? You've become a master of soup wizardry. The very essence of your soup is an expression of your magic. A creature which has consumed one of your soups can be used as the source of your magical effects. You can cast spells through them or on to them so long as you can see them.
Types of Soup
Enchanted Broth. The most basic soup, if you can even call this soup. It's literally just hot and magical water. But for some reason the other wizards seem to really enjoy it. But who wouldn't? After a creature consumes this soup, they gain a spell slot of 1st level.
ZZoup. A pungent combination of paprika, mushrooms, and some of that weird orange powder you found at the random town's 'potion' store. Nonetheless, it's still imbued with your magic. So it can't help but be good. After a creature consumes this soup, they are filled with a sense of warmth and gain resistance to fire damage.
Stone Soup. Yes, yes. The allegory isn't lost to you. It's just not the most important part. What matters is that you made rocks into real, edible food. Who else could do it besides you? After a creature consumes this soup, they gain a number of temporary hit points equal to your intelligence modifier plus half your wizard level. And they're resistant to damage from rocks.
Special Ingredient Soup. Hand-pulled noodles are a traditional art form that takes decades to master. Thankfully, you can do magic and skip most of the effort. This delightful combination of ingredients works quite well together. You think you're going to learn the ingredients that easily? After a creature consumes this soup, they become invigorated as the soup runs through their veins imbuing them with physical prowess. When they make an unarmed strike, it deals damage equal to 1d4 + their Strength or Dexterity modifier. Also, they add your intelligence modifier to their Strength (Athletics) and Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks.
Winterroot Gazpacho A cool blend of vegetables from across the planet. You didn't put too much winterroot did you (it'll freeze if you do). After a creature consumes this soup, they are filled with an overwhelming coolness. They develop skin cool to the touch and an aloofness that makes even cold-hearted people swoon. They gain advantage on Charisma checks to remain calm under pressure or pass off their presence at anywhere.
Berry Berry Bliss A sweet and delicate blend of fruits with a hint of cream. You feel a tad pretentious eating dessert soup, don't you? The silly name doesn't stop that feeling? After a creature consumes this soup, they embrace the world of the wealthy and gain a smidgen of distaste for those below them. They can cast the Command spell a number of times equal to half your proficiency modifier at a humanoid who believes they're of lower social standing then the creature who consumed this soup. Afterward using up their castings or soup's duration ends, the consumer returns to their normal disposition.
Chicken Soup for the Soul A classic and hearty soup that seems to be able to heal things beyond wounds. Probably because you're the one who made it. After a creature consumes this soup, they gain the benefits of having a lesser restoration spell cast on them.
